No it's ricey and tacky either way. Sponsorship is ricey most the time.

D1, car shows, sponsorship, all that **** is rice. So what if they get paid, or have sponsorship, or have the parts installed? Ricey, tacky, obnoxious stuff looks dumb any way you cut it.

But people are entitled to do what they want with their car

Yeah, No Welding is required. This is a complete bolt on kit. The only major modification to all lambo door kits is the splicing and extending of the wiring to the doors.

I guess they might be cool if you didn't have to open the door normally before lifting it up, kinda defeats the purpose.

Also, to agree with some of the other folk, and I am coming from an american muscle car background, $2200+ for something that adds absolutely no performance gain the vehicle does classify as rice - sorry.

Points given for effort.

If I had to be as carful with my vertical doors as that guy is, I'd go insane.
You need to get the damping right.

Car looks great, however I really don't like lambo doors. I'd even get a Galardo just to avoid them.

why do you want to open the door, lift it up, pull it down and swing it close???
it should be lift up to open, and pull down to close, why you want to do the extra step just to open and close you freaking door.

Because they don't want to engineer it properly. They'd rather half *** it, then charge too much for it.

I like RICE

is Nascar rice? they have lots of stickers. I guess that would make F1 rice as well. I don't agree with the doors just because it aint my style. It's not really a waste of money, only because it's something the guy likes. I bought a 900 dollar MS wing, is that a waste of money? It's only a waste of money to someone else who wouldent do that mod.

Well, not exactly.
You simply can't hang a door off of the A-pillar as you would on a true gull-wing.

What it comes down to is these lambo door kits are show pieces to attract attention. If you like avg joes and hot girls checking out your ride and be in amazement then get these. If you don't like attention and don't do shows I don't reccomend them since you have to tell everyone that gets in and out of your car that they need to be careful when opening the doors since they don't swing the 90 degrees that the stock doors basically do. There are safety mechanisms built into the hinge to prevent damage but I'm sure they can't guarantee the hinge won't get damaged if someone pulls it open hard enough. Everyday use is impractical but its a show/flashy item so you gotta decide if they are right for you. You can always go back to stock though with no problem. Im fine with them because, 1- not many people ride in my car with me and those that do, know I have them. 2- I don't have to swing the door up unless I want attention so you wouldn't know I had them at all if I don't raise them up. 3-they are crash tested and approved so I know I am safe in the case of a side collision.

I thought the video displayed your doors really well. However I wouldn't say that you would pull chicks...with that type of door....

If I saw a guy with doors like that..I would more than likely laugh....not be impressed...but hey I drive an 8 and know cars...

Others might like it but for that money I would hot up the engine.....turbo...

But well done for putting up your post and having thick skin.. you got it dished to ya big time!
