New Strut Tower Bars Finally Arrived

OK, I have been waiting for these to show up, and today is my lucky day! Now, I have to look out my window at the nemesis car, and dream of how these little puppies are going to improve things. This weekend will be fun getting this car setup...

the brake cylinder support in the front ms bar must be awesome.
I don't have the ms strut (yet ) but when my mechanic was doing my brake fluid change for me, he was steping on the brake pedal to remove the air and old fluid, and I noticed something that caught my attention:
the whole cylinder was moving back and forth I guess the strut bar will help keep that thing rock solid and stable... Nemesis8 can you please tell me if you'll notice any change in braking or pedal feel? Thanks

OK, so it is from the Autoexe site. http://www.autoexe.co.jp/products/ma...mastervac.html

Here is what Babel Fish translated about it:

"There are times which converting the power which depressed the pedal to oil pressure, convey basic structure of the brake, to the wheel, move the pad. The device which changes the foot pressure into oil pressure is the master cylinder. Therefore, for accurate brakes operation, the movement of the pedal and the piston has had to have been linked accurately, it is proper, but to tell the truth another important problem has hidden. It has the necessity to hold down the fact that the cylinder escapes. Unless so it is, the oil pressure which occurs inside the cylinder pushes out the cylinder itself, the movement of the piston is abated relatively, pedal effort and effectiveness of the brake slip delicately.

That master cylinder is done to stop volt/bolt in the booster which is called the master back. You understand that it is verified with the present car, but rigidity of this master back is rather low. Furthermore, this master back itself is installed by the partition of the engine compartment and the cabin which are called the bulkhead, also the rigidity here, regulates this kind of delicate movement about is not high. Therefore, by any means, the master cylinder moves.

So, the tuning part, master cylinder stopper from the past existed. Making stopper before the cylinder, the escaping to the front it is the case that it pushed back, but of course, it is not real measure. As for stopping the movement where, the pulling っ it is packed with reaction, slips slantedly and/or with it says it is not possible. Then, us 「 master back brace It is appearance of the 」. Principle is simple. Faithfully to the basis, in order to control the flexion of the master back and the bulkhead section, its installation rigidity was strengthened. Concretely, the master back and the body of engine compartment side, the bulkhead and the pedal installation section, the respective high rigidity it reinforced threely-dimensional with the steel pipe and the plate. You will be able to call the concept which is similar to the brake unit of the racing machine which attach directlies the high rigid master cylinder to the tough framework.

With measurement in the result and the master cylinder point, with at the time of not yet installing the needless movement 85% * has been decreasedtruly in comparison. Suddenly, ギƒ…ッ it is the white elephant almost to the brake which is stepped on, but, the recommendation it is the capability part securely in the direction which desires the secure brake control which conforms to pedal effort.

* This corporation survey value with RX-8. Numerical value differs depending upon model."

All I can say, is wow what a difference in brake response. It caught me offguard the first time I pressed the pedal. And the steering reponse is stellar. This is a must have mod for all of us. I am very pleased.

Thats the way the car came as stock, so there should be no disadvantage.
