New shoes!

hey all--

i wanted to thank Rx-8 Putih for these pics first of all. it was an impromptu shoot in seattle after a bunch of us met up to say goodbye to jantzenRX-8 who's leaving us for greener pastures in oklahoma.

anyway, i just got a set of advan model 5 wheels in 19x9 +45

they've got super stretched 235s on them now so i'll be shopping for new rubber but they're in good shape so they may last through the winter for me. these will be my new daily driver wheels and i'll keep my rpf1s for track.

that's shin running across the photo trying to ruin it and RawrX8 looking like a goof

i agree but found this set and couldn't pass it up. they're one of my fav wheels and they were local so how could i say no?

i've been thinking about spacing them out though for a better look. will spacers cause any problems for daily driving? what size do you think i should look at? i'm thinking get it somewhere near +30 or +35 should be better so 10mm or 15mm spacers.

Wow that looks real good!
But idk, something seems weird about the front rims. They are pushed in too much or wtv you know what I mean.
Is that what you guys are talking about right now?

yeah that's what we're talking about. moving the wheel out so it's more flush with the fenders. that's what offset determines and mine are +45 where flush (depending on your definition) is probably around +30

i know man! you were looking for these too at one point and i've been watching for model 5s or t5s and jantzen found this reeeeeallly nice set local which was pretty incredible.

as for tires, i'm debating at the moment. i like the nt-05s but they only come in 245 or 275 and i think 275 is too wide. i think i need to be around 255 or 265 but would have to choose another tire.. what do you think?

dondo: don't post the price cus I'LL cry if you do.
I'm very partial to Toyo T1R's, they're exceptional tires.

Those are hawt! What tire size are you going to run in the future? You should get 255/35/19 all around and 10mm spacers if you dont want to roll the rear or 15mm if you do want to roll the rears for a VERY nice fitment. DAMN those look sexy in that first couple pics

thanks a lot man. i was thinking 255 or 265/35/19. how do you roll? can a shop do it? what's it cost? i don't mind rolling and would like my dd wheels to be flush if possible so 15mm sounds right for me. what brand spacers would you recommend?
