Welp the time has come.... I traded in my 04 GT with 67k miles in for a 2009 rx8 r3 aurora blue.. Drove down 4 hours on friday to pick it up! She is completely stock - For the moment... lol Ive already ordered a bhr ignition kit, and metra kit (now to pick out my in dash screen) was thinking of a pioneer x930bt. :-) im excited to be able to do mods instead of repairs. in a few weeks i cant decide if i want to throw a bhr midpipe with a racing beat exhaust, or lower her...

And I say go with the exhaust! I might start thinking about getting the metra kit... I was just going to get an iPod adapter for mine, but getting the metra kit might seem a little better. Let me know how it works out for you.

Well with broken syncro, they gave me 6,400 for the car. but I owed 9700 on it. So with the extra I owed in total i only spent 20,999. They wanted just 23999 for it but i talked them down.

Im not in the army, My husbands in the Navy and we're stationed here at fort meade currently. Going back down to florida next year though =)

Recaro's should be comfortable. Maybe its just an adjustment to how much higher they are than earlier seats?

Either way nice choice - I wish I could pick up an R3 myself.

Can I ask why put a head unit in an R3? Seems like the wrong model to load up with audio gear? Just my opinion. I'd probably strip it down to the lightweight sound system...

I love my LY '04, the color is unique and the car just runs perfectly...It's either get an R3 or finally upgrade that suspension with some Teins or something...

If I can get a deal like the one you got, I'll go R3. I love the car and the warranty. Wish me luck.

Found 2 dealers inside 100 miles that still have an R3 left, but they are both Mica...Oh well. I will miss the Lightning Yellow...
