I'd say leave the calipers or paint them black... right now it matches the rims, and there is the blue strip on the rim that match the car... blue calipers would draw a little attention away from the sexy rims

WB wasn't my thing at first, but it has totally changed my opinion now that i've been looking at it for a year, it is such a bad *** color and those rims are perfect!

Sorry to bust your bubble, but thats the ugliest set of rims I've ever seen. Looks like the rims are covered in brake dust and haven't been washed in years. But if you like them thats all that matters. You only have to please yourself.

^^ Don't pick on him, they just might not have any gunmetal rims where ever George lives...

I think the dark "gun metal" look is one of those looks where "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I ended up with the wheels below for my winter tires. They were not my first choice, but were the only thing available buy the time I made up my mind to get them last winter.
At first, I didn't know if I really liked them. But, as time passed, they kind of grew on me. It's like two different personalities. The winter wheels are the dark, sinister version, and the summer - stock wheels are the bright , happy personality. (How's that for some wierd physolicical evaluation of automobile wheels!!! )
Anyway, I was glad to get my summer wheels back on a couple weeks ago, but also look forward to changing the look when Winter comes back in about five weeks (I live in Wisconsin remember!! )
As for the calipers, I thought when I saw your pics " Wow , they would look even better with painted calipers." But, IMO, you should try to find caliper paint that is a very close match to your '8 body color. To have calipers with a color different than your car and wheel stripe, that is, three different shades of blue, might look a bit strange. But, I think painted calipers would look great..

^ Yep. Having gunmetal or any other color rims are like having another personality for the car. It's good to switch it up every 6 months (in Canada).

Wow, seeing those pics of your blue makes me wonder if black was really the right way to go. I think the darker color makes the whole car look mean. Bronze work emotion rims for me this summer if I can save up the money...

Here is a bad PS of what the calipers might look like in blue. I say leave them as is. I tinted your windows and shaved your door handles for you as well.

Sorry for the delay, here are the specs:
Front: 18 x 8 +50
Rear: 18 x 9 +42
Don't know the weight... but they feel a bit lighter than stock.
