seriously, why do teh Americans think its funny laughing about the French?
Without French military victories, you would still be a UK colony! At least we in the UK have a legitimate rivalry with them as we fought with them and against them. You on the other hand are pretty much their allies always. They saved you, then you helped save them. Why not some gratitude instead of mocking? Especially seeing as you are a military man Kane!
As for victories, anyone heard of Napoleon?

When you conduct joint operations with French Commandos and EOD; you are allowed to bust their *****; and they do that same to us. I am actually wearing a French Commandos t-shirt as I type this. I also have a few Royal t-shirts as well; we exchange them regularly when we work together. If I don't like someone I wouldn't make fun of them - just ignore them all together.
And on a final note - where do you think the term "frog man" came from? So relax; it is all in good fun.

First, the google thing was very, very funny. Maybe it wasn't real, but it reminded me of back when you could Google "complete failure" and the first link would be "president George W Bush".
Second, I'm so integrated into the French and always take so much flak from them on virtually every minute aspect of American culture that jabbing back is absolutely necessary. In fact, if I/we didn't, they would get bored with us for not trying to play the game and come up with clever quips to match theirs.
That's why Americans like making fun of the French... we've been doing it far longer than this whole argument over the Iraq war. It's only since then that people like Cali Style have gotten all PC and noticed it.

I was at Jim Ellis Mazda in Atlanta for some service work when in walked a handful of models and driver Carlos Llano (he'll be driving an RX8 next year in Grand Am). They were doing a promo photo shoot, so naturally, I snapped a few pics myself. One of 'em was kind enough to pose with my car - she was one of Playboy's Girls of Home Depot back in '04 -
