don't worry man, whatever you do, 9k seems to get off criticizing everyone, oh and make sure not to post any questions without searching for the answer in other threads for a few days, he hates that

Speed_8 is secretly in love with me, that's why he felt the need to comment  He just gets mad when I don't show him any attention.

Soooooo what coil overs did u go with

sidewayssteve 03-03-2011 11:42 PM

just megan tracks. prolly gonna get made fun of but the reason was because money is tight because im saving for college and all that while making car payments and going to school. gonna pick up a set of stance gr+ in the future

chino0314 03-04-2011 12:11 AM

don't see whyd you be made fun of but ok thanks

I'd be cautious to say the car handles better than stock at this height. When you get past a certain point, ride height plays tricks with the suspension geometry. Your main goal isn't grip driving, so it isn't a huge deal.

can't wait to see it fitted, the car won't look quite as low though. Sunk wheels often give the illusion of a lower car. What wheels did you have in mind?

Lap times to prove this?
With the suspension travel that you're using to be that low on the ground your car just doesn't handle right.
If you like the super low look then power to you but stating that it is an improvement over stock, while it isn't in any way is not wise.
Our suspension design\geometry has got its needs to work at best.

phrenetiK 03-04-2011 06:21 AM

who gives a fuck if his suspension doesn't work as good now. he is obviously going for form over function. leave it at that.

mscamp02 03-04-2011 06:35 AM

hella sunk on stockers with no spacers is a no go my friend. looks silly

I don't think anyone really minds, it was just a little incorrect to post that an rx8 at this height will outhandle a stock rx8, or an rx8 with properly tuned springs/dampers.

For drift it may not matter quite as much, and will look great with the right set of wheels :icon_tup:

i've always been a fan of some properly sized ssr professors, or some work vs-xx. on the cheaper side i have been looking into a set of mb battles just to keep me happy until i get out of college.

sidewayssteve 03-04-2011 07:54 PM

and for specification, i meant to say the car drifts better now than it did at stock height! hahah my bad everybody. i should have specified.

fuztupnz 03-04-2011 07:56 PM

I can see that. It's probably bouncing off the bump stops or even resting on them. That will make the rear loose quick.

It's a bit too low, but with spacers or the right wheels, it will look pretty sexy. :icon_tup:
