im sorry but that is literally the ugliest thing i have ever seen

Ross_Dawg 02-27-2011 10:16 PM

Interesting... the DUB sticker on the back is a nice touch but you're missing the 20" Chrome stickers on the windows.

lmao

Rotary-RX8 02-27-2011 10:19 PM

^ its not a sticker its an emblem :suspect: It makes it that much better :)

monchie 02-27-2011 10:24 PM

This car should be in the cover of a DUB magazine...

Rotary-RX8 02-27-2011 10:25 PM

^ LOL

RX8inSTL 02-27-2011 10:26 PM

Well... It could have been nice but the wheels, doors, emblems, paint job, and interior kinda ruined it.

Out of curiousty why is there "louis vaton" interior but it has seat covers? Just something to think about.

Rotary-RX8 02-27-2011 10:40 PM

I gotta give the dude props for doing the MS wing and the Evo r lip wing. I wanted to be the first to have that look but good job for that combination !! :)

I appreciate the criticism, i can handle it, im not much for arguing with people but i do appreciate the feedback, Always looking to improve. (even though according to some i might be too far to even recover) but the seat covers are because its winter and I dont want to damage any of the interior, just trying to keep it in better condition. And about the DUB emblem, I didnt put it there, and I might eventually remove it, I would rather have NO emblems on the car. Thanks again guys

9krpmrx8 02-27-2011 11:16 PM

Well, to each his own. We can be harsh sometimes, it's good you can handle though and didn't whine like a bitch about it

For me, I'm not feeling the heavy wheels on a sports car, or the emblems. The hood need to be black and have the mesh vents painted black as well. The LV interior is well..... I would have to see it up close. The black part on the bumper looks amateur, have the hood and that resprayed and it will work better.

Says the guy with a K&N hot air intake and painted factory wheels

Yeah, i agree with the hood, its like, formed into the fender. there is some serious chips and some cracks in the bumper so i was thinking of purchasing a new fender/body kit. Do you have any suggestions?

pksan123 02-27-2011 11:22 PM

can i bash on it because it's a automatic? jk. i actually like lambo doors :yumyum:
can u take close up pics of the LV interior? looks like it's in blue. pretty cool

lateralus 02-27-2011 11:29 PM

Is that a 7 badge on the back in place of the flying M?

dezau 02-27-2011 11:30 PM

i hope you got this for free lol.. cuz i agreee with MazdaRX8ftw

EClark13 02-27-2011 11:34 PM

I hated the fact that it was auto... but i really like the rest of it. And i posted some interior pics at the top. Thanks again for the criticism, but some suggestions along with the "i hope this was free" comments would be helpful for me!! :p

well, if i were you, i'd try everything to revert it back to stock first and start there.

lateralus 02-28-2011 12:04 AM

If I had that car... I would start by removing the DUB badges and putting new wheels on it. That would go a pretty long way

Thanks!! do you know of any easy way to remove those damn emblems? i would also like to get rid of the RX 7 emblem on the back. I dont wanna chip any of the paint off, or if i do, if i could get a good way to repair it i would do it asap. And what kinds of rims/wheels would you suggest?

Ross_Dawg 02-28-2011 12:07 AM

And a new front bumper without a DIY ram intake

Ross_Dawg 02-28-2011 12:09 AM

Try heating them up with a hair dryer or heat gun. Usually they're help on by an adhesive.

i literally just got the car. that intake costs about 300 dollars is full carbon fiber and as for the painted wheels, well personally id rather have them then fucking 20"s of eye sore and retarded ricer doors from 2fast2furious. I can state my opinion and personally I feel if you don't agree with what I said you are someone with literally the worst taste in cars I have ever seen and should have your keys and license turned in

alz0rz 02-28-2011 12:10 AM

I am not a fan of any of it.. but simply changing the wheels would really go a long way.
And about the doors.. they can be on the car sure.. but don't flip em up!

So are you suggesting to take my cold air intake and just make it a hot air intake? kinda defeats the purpose doesnt it?

Ross_Dawg 02-28-2011 12:13 AM

No, Im suggesting getting a new bumper without a DIY looking hole in the front bumper. Google "Racing Beat Intake"

lateralus 02-28-2011 03:05 AM

For the DUB badges, just hit them with some heat to loosen up the adhesive (like Ross Dawg said, a hair dryer or heat gun should do the trick), then get them off with some dental floss. The 7 badge will be pretty much the same thing, but the badge that comes on the car where that one is has two studs that go into the trunk lid. I'm not sure if the 7 badge has studs (I highly doubt it), but regardless there are going to be 2 holes there where the old badge stuck in. You could try to find a replacement of the stock one to put there. Plenty of people debadge the back though, and either just dont worry too much about the holes or fill them in... But anyway, just a heads up that there will be 2 holes there when the 7 badge comes off...

As for what wheels to replace those with, it is really just preference. Not big and chrome though haha... Just look through some of the pics of peoples cars on here and see which ones you think look the best. Then either look into getting some of them or some like them...

He isn't talking about getting rid of the actual cold air intake itself, just the hole in front bumper... Getting rid of it wouldn't hurt anything. The cold air intake would still get plenty of air flow and work perfectly fine without that hole being there.

jasonrxeight 02-28-2011 03:09 AM

return to stock is the best.

superhypered 02-28-2011 03:12 AM

If I got that for free I'd show it off too
but whats better, your car, or my rear bumper decals? ahaha

-Lose the ricer chrome rims
-get rid of the the K&N,intake. not a cold air intake.
-expeed exhaust? never heard of it.
-LV interior looks terrible. it doesnt look too unsightly but, who ever put it on did a half ass job, looks all wrinkly and cheap. if your going to do it, do the whole interior too, such as the front doors and seats. but obviously LV would not fit right on an 8.
-lambo doors... meh could do without it... does nothing
-also that duct looks terrible. go back to stock or a modest lip or kit
-the 2tone looks kind of cheesy.
-get rid of the chrome door handle covers
-get rid of the seat covers
-paint the vented hood mesh black

 excuses, excuses. You paid $300.00 for one of the worst intakes on the market. And real carbon Fiber? You are funny dude.

I agree this guys ride looks pretty bad in it's current state but you are riding around on spray painted wheels so I wouldn't talk too much shit on him if I were you.

lepichichi 02-28-2011 11:14 AM

ok my friend, pliz take off the DUB stickers, sell your wheels and buy new ones, drop the car and you should be ok. And why auto? welcome to the club!

well to someone internet IS SERIOUS BUSINESS.

honestly, I dont understand why you want CF on the intake. its not like normal intakes weight a couple tons.

I have not heard of such a thing as "ricer rims"
But I have heard of baller rims
For example, see below

http://www.youputrimsonthat.com/wp-c.../10/wowlol.jpg

man dose rims SO tyter than a mofo yo

paimon.soror 02-28-2011 03:34 PM

At the very very very least, lose the rims and the DUB badge

Hater! If you pay $300 for something it's OBVIOUSLY NOT BAD! Duh. :banghead:

Pico 02-28-2011 03:46 PM

Gotta love brand fan boi's. FYI, AEM is now K&N as well and the materials are different as well.

EClark13 02-28-2011 04:14 PM

So, looks like I will be removing the DUB emblems this weekend, thanks for the input on those. I am also looking into a gunmetal powdercoating the rims. What do you guys think?? (Also paint the metal on the CF hood, What if I painted the metal winning blue? any comments? )

jasonrxeight 02-28-2011 04:17 PM

just lose the wheels, they are ugly in any color.

phrenetiK 02-28-2011 04:21 PM

no. just get rid of those rims please.

Rims, drop, dub logo.

and your car will improve by 85%. all the rest of the stuff will be the other 15%

Rotary-RX8 02-28-2011 04:21 PM

This car isnt that bad. If he removed the chrome wheels, intake gap in the front bumper, and got some nice volks or advans, it wouldnt look bad. Funny how some hideous chorme wheels can change the look of a car so much.

edit: forgot the dub badges. Go badgeless

mscamp02 02-28-2011 04:55 PM

not feeling it, front bumper looks busted and hand painted with a big ass hole in the front.

York 02-28-2011 05:40 PM

I'm just surprised there are no stickers.

haha trust me, a lot of people who roll with these "chrome rims" are not considered baller.

trust me dude, that will look terrible. the point of painting it black is so that it doesn't stand out as much as the tacky silver mesh. if your going to paint it winning blue, then it will look even more tacky.

I hope all people on these forums aren't as ignorant as you. I used to own an M3 and at least the people on bimmerforums read posts before responding. If you had read what I said, I said I JUST GOT THE CAR. So either you're illiterate or just dumb. I'm partial to the latter man.

Ps I can do that too

Okay :) You are the one who stated what it cost and the fact that it is Carbon Fiber (what that has to do with anything is beyond me) so obviously you are proud to have it
