My white rx8 with blacked out tail lights and front sides

Hey i was doing the blackouts today. it took me about 2 hours to do the back 2 lights and the middle break light. its a pain stretching over the curves of our lights but i finished. I have a pic of 1 light done and 1 not and then it got dark when i finished so there are night shots. Also wanna say wuts up lol. ive been readin up about this car. i got it 2 months ago and love it. I got a 6 speed GT.

Hahahaha! Was gonna say the same thing, but I thought better wait till he tells me how to black out those lights!

Btw, pushok132, are you planning on doing the same to your headlights?

That looks even better than I expected... I've been wanting this 'FD' look on my black since I bought it.

Not too sure about the side markers, but the blacked out rear taillamps look pimp.

In person it looks 100 times better. It took like i said about 2 hours to do. i bought the precut kit from stickercity.com. they are right by my house so i just went there and they gave me extra material to do the midle light and front side lights. It's not that hard, but it takes a lot of effort becuase you hae to stretch the material alot to get around all the curves. If you buy it it comes with instructions on how to do it and with a squeegy. The front lights would look good with the same done to them lol but when i put the material over them, there was literally no more hid's. it was like have stock halogens, but worse. Kit ran me 45 bucks.

Is yours the light (20%) or dark (35%) kit? Also, which film did you try on your headlights? If it was dark, then maybe light will not be too bad.

It looks really dark. Covers up the design in the taillights.

I'm thinking he used the dark tint. If that was the light kit, the dark one must really be blacked out.

For the headlights, stickercity.com seems to offer only one type of tint for the smoked film. Don't know whether it's the light, dark, or a completely different one. It does say the front tints are for offroad and show use only btw.

i got the darker one. Design can be slightly seen in daytime. Front one if done with the ligher one would better, but it would still kill the light output quite a bit. Heres some more pics i took today in the daytime. Enjoy. My license plate is like that. Theres a smily face there but i put some tint over it because it was yellow to make it darker.

Looks alright, but I bet it would look a lot better with darker rims (black or gunmetal).

dang dude, isn't the plate an insta-bust?!? in any case, not my thing but good job on trying something different, if everyone left their 8's alone we'd never have any progress on anything so nice work

Corners....

Why would you go to all the trouble of clear corners, then blacken them, on a WHITE car?

From the pics it looks like those are the stock corners.
