My VR just got a little more aggressive
Ordered a VIS hood last week and just got a chance to put it on. The hinges need a little modification in order to align the hood correctly (thank mazda for putting a bolt where you cant move it around) I should be ordering the evo-r front lip here soon. Ill get some more pictures later on.

Fitment is a 9/10 just because you cant position the hood thanks to mazda's hood bracket. I am still using the tein dampers even though they suggest you not.. I dont see any issues with them. The weave is PERFECT. I have put 3 seibon hoods on our TT supra, one on a rx7 from seibon and this hood beats them all. When driving the supra, the hood flexes and shutters like its going to fly off. You don't get any of that with this VIS.

They don't recommend hood struts because most hoods that get replaced by a CF hood are MUCH heavier but that's not the case with ours sinc we get cool Alumnimum hoods.
I'm thinking of going a very similar route so that's why I asked.
What was the total price?

Seeings as you are saying you don't like Seibon, (was looking into that) what about Carbon Creations how have people rated that? (granted I want the doors and Seibon is the only doors I have seen???) Carbon fiber has to match thats just odd to have different patterns all over.

that is the only aftermarket hood i like, i just like the stock hood so much..
i never got into leaving it un-painted... i mean, don't get me wrong i love the way CF looks unpainted, but i dont like just hoods, the whole car has to be cf :P
just never got into the un-painted cf hoods, especially when they dont loose weight.
however the car looks good

I never said I didn't like seibon... Im an authorized dealer for both, but I just have seen so many flimsy hoods from them and strange weave patterns. Both companies are hit or miss as well as every other aftermarket part for our cars.
Im debating on painting it but I will leave it as is for now. I will have some more pictures tomorrow hopefully. Im trying to scope out a nice pic location.

the car looks like its coming together nicely......as for carbon creations stay away....search extreme dimensions and you will understand
