Well, the HKS hi power is in and drove it around for a while. Boy the mazsport/hks hi power combo is very quiet. It is even quieter than my hymee combo. As for the sound, they sound almost identical which is good. Hymee is a very good sounding exhaust and I am glad that the HKS hi power sound that way too with the mazsport midpipe. And yes this exhaust is very light and quality is excellent. However, I will have to find a way to block that empty hole on the right side of the bumper...

Well if you decide to go FI, any kind of FI, I highly recommend that you have 10K sitting around because it will cost around that amount when all is said and done. Chris help installed Esmeril Apex seals / rebuilt my engine this summer and now I am almost done installing Snow Performance Stage 2 Meth injection. Also install new clutch, a stage 3 clutchmaster which will handle more torque from the engine. Engine runs great but it needs to get tuned which will happen after this installation and of course....weather....I am sure the car will be pretty quick since it is the lightest model (base with sport package) and lots of light weight mod.
One word about the Esmeril apex seal, it pulls 17-19 HG from the get go at idle when the engine first started. I have around 1000 miles on the engine so far and the vacuum has been pretty much stable. Quality stuffs for sure.
Thanks for the good comment. I garage kept my car and almost never drive it in the rain/snow (10< times). I also detail the car myself and wax it twice a year.

On the turbo, are you going to cover it with a turbo blanket?

Clicky I had a one-off custom rear bumper cover made to get rid of both exhaust shroud holes...

Your bumper mod looks cool! Nice job. Very unique
I have Boostlogic turbo blanket on my turbo since day one. It really help keep temp down. I also mod the engine tray by cutting larger holes and also make several inlets to scoop cold air in from under the car to the radiator. So far engine is not as warm as it used to be prior to the mod. Also Mazmart thermostat and water pump help engine runs cooler too.

very clean looking car!
after it is street tuned, I'd recommend doing a dyno pull or two, as mentioned earlier it is perfectly safe for the vehicle as long as it's tuned and the person operating the dyno knows what they're doing.
My car has done well over 35 WOT dyno pulls in the last 2 years or so.

OK, I thought you had a blanket. (Can't see photos at work since the IT guys block lots of web sites.) I really like your thoughts on Chris's apex seals. I have a stock rebuilt engine going into my car this Winter, and I will then rebuild my original engine with Esmeril seals for my 2010 boosted engine.
Are you running the Interceptor or did you flash the OEM computer?

Chris apex seal is very nice. Get good compression from the get go. Vacuum is right around 17-19 HG which is very good. After 1000 miles vacuum still the same. It is just a piece of mind for me and for more safety net, I also installed the Snow Performance stage 2 meth. Safe boosting hopefully!

I'm getting Chris's kit and having it installed by my tuner and dyno tuned before it leaves the shop. We plan on running it and turning up the boost slowly over the winter. I'm not to sure how the inter-x will be for tuning I would have wanted the cobb but if Chris says inter-x then I guess that's what is the best.
