My two Mazdas
My two cars, a 2008 40th Anniversary edition RX8 and a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 GT. Both have Mazdaspeed Cold Air Intakes, and my Mazdaspeed3 GT is the single one in America with any power moonroof, installed pre-delivery by my Mazda dealer.
Very different drives, both loads of fun.

yes you can get many aftermarket sunroofs for the speed3, as it is NOT available as a dealer option on this car. The difference in mine is that we contacted Mazda USA in California, before the purchase of the car and arranged to have it be a pre-order Mazda approved dealer install, so it would be covered by the vehicle warranty, as well as the Solaire manufacturer warranty. I have owned nine Mazdas, including six rotary engine cars, RX3,RX4, all three generations of RX7, and this RX8. And I used to do some SCCA racing of a heavily modified first gen RX7, back in the day (loads of Racing Beat engine and chassis mods, 400 hp).
The Speed3 is actually faster, zero to sixty, and top end. With its direct injection the cold air intake makes quite a boost in horsepower. The RX8 also has the Mazdaspeed CAI, but its horsepower boost is much smaller , though still noticeably faster. The RX8 handles better than the speed3-though the speed3 handles great. As we all know the RX8 handling is close to race car specs. All the power to the front wheels in the speed3 makes it a little more work to control, but wild fun anyway. The RX8 is more refined and forgiving at speed around twisty circuits.
Both cars are a blast and I wouldn't trade either for anything on the road, anywhere near their price or higher.
by the way there was some snow left on the ground last week when i took these shots, but we are expecting 65 degrees on friday this week in south jersey, hmm a sunroof day drive for sure.
