I make those smaller stickers at work. I have people honk at me and ask where I get them. I give them one.

So since the god awful wings _might_ help it's ok, but my antenna that does definitely help is not?

I hate the look of cf. Looks like crap. The weight savings are tiny.

I never said it was. The RX8 is a fallback until I can buy another truck. I owned both at the same time. I hate taking my 8 where it might get hailed on. I hate people getting killed because they got no tornado warnings more. We can see tornadoes forming before they show up on radar. I reported two funnel clouds passing over the city the night my truck was bashed, my shoulder broken, and my back injured.

You guys would hate the RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service) magnetic sign I put on the car when I'm on duty even more.

You know what they say about opinions.

Like I said, I chase storms for real, not TV. The object is to SEE the storm and report it. If you are closer than 2 miles you are doing it wrong. I'm not trying to impress people by getting real close to it. Only idiots do that for TV ratings. That kind of behavior serves no purpose at all.

I will buy another 3/4 Ton pickup when I can. Right now, the 8 is what I have.

FYI there is a multiquote button at the bottom right hand side of each post. Use it.

No one is really disrespecting you for the Storm Chasing. They may be making jokes about using an 8 to do it, but i don't see any disrespect. More power to you. We all have to do what we have to do to make money.

Us "Children" are picking on your childish cartoon sniper sticker than belongs on a 16 year old's rattle canned, flat black civic with eBay "racing" seats and a 5 inch tach, not on a respected sports car like an 8.

You obviously shouldn't have asked for opinions since you've done nothing but show that you're butt hurt like a little boy who ran home crying to mom after the girls on the playground wouldn't let him play hopscotch.

I don't Storm Chase for money. It is volunteer work. RACES is part of Homeland Security but we don't get paid at all. We have to buy the radios and all the gear used. We also have to attend classes to get certified as Storm Chasers. The NWS won't take storm reports from anyone else.

Sure the sticker is childish. I'm just showing that I'm still young at heart. The funny thing is, while you people (for the most part) are giving me a hard time, the old farts here at work all love it.
If the derision was bothering me that much, the sticker would come off. Ain't happening.

As far as my butt hurting, would you let people say this kind of stuff about your ride without at least firing back? The reason I use the word "children" is because this blog has more trolling than any other I've ever visited. Maybe I didn't understand that I'm really not among friends here.

If you didn't want opinions you should not have posted up. Some people have different styles, so if you like it then that is all that matters. But don't get mad because no one here does. Personally I think it and the antenna ruins an otherwise clean looking car, but then again people may not certain things I have done to my own 8. But if post up pictures on a public internet forum then I had better damn well be ready to accept criticism.

I've posted my car up many times on here. I don't get butt hurt by other peoples opinions so i don't feel a need to fire back at them. If you can't take criticism, you probably shouldn't open yourself up to it. If you like it, it shouldn't matter if we do. If it makes you feel any better, I'd laugh at anybody who put that sticker on any car.

Actually, this is one of the friendliest forums I've visited in a long time. I post in other car forums - including truck forums - and people there are just brutal. This ain't nothing here

And I think that happens because the RX-8 is such a unique car, that people here are generally more serious about their cars as opposed to the honda civic forums - for example - which are flooded with thousands of high school kids that have nothing better to do

No one is really disrespecting you for the Storm Chasing.

I am.

I've watched those documentaries about the clowns who do it, and I think they deserve nothing but derision. Wanna-be Home Land security guards acting like they are on a planetary mission from Star Trek.....

Actually when they get out alongside the road and set up that little wind gauge thing, and start talking in '10 code', the image that most springs to mind is Ghostbusters!

Just sayin.

that antenna doesnt help the car, it helps you, do your storm things or flirt with truckers or whatever you do in your spare time.

I got a bit down page 2, and it became tl;dr.

Honestly, I say, props for using the Rx8 as a work car. Yeah, it's a sports car, but I personally think it's awesome to enjoy it, even while working. While antenna's bigger than the ones on any service truck I drive aren't exactly hip, I think it's cool to see an Rx8 getting used more.

And as far as the graphics, I think it's a neat start. Perhaps going the whole 9, or 10 yards would look great though. Some people will probably disagree, but I know there's a thread around here with some cars fully done up overseas, and they look nice. Yeah, they probably costed a good bit to do all of that, and probably quite a few people disagree with me on how they look, but ah well. It's all opinionated anyway.

I'm just a little more liberal when it comes to modified cars.

I don't rock the JDM EGO The Renaissance decal on my car for nothing, haha.

So I think it's a good start, for possibly adding quite a bit more. I'd say making it look aggressive as hell would be ftw.
