I used to be into RC's years ago.
I've owned (at various times):
Traxxas Stampede Electric
Tamiya TG10 Nitro
Mugen MBX4 R Nitro 1/8 buggy
Traxxas TMaxx Nitro
Kyosho Mad Force Nitro
Team Associated T3 Electric
Hot Bodies Lightning Pro RR Nitro 1/8 buggy
So I have a good bit of experience with these things. One bit of advice I can offer is that be careful before getting into this hobby. It'll become a money pit and a obsession and could detract from other parts of your life. As if the 8 wasn't an obsession enough.
They are fun for sure. I remember setting up a big old ramp made out of a wood foldable table at one end of a baseball diamond. Then I'd run my Mugen MBX4 R as fast as I could up to the ramp and launch it. The damn thing flew at least 50ft and go at least 15ft of air and took the hits like a champ. Those 1/8 buggies are really the most fun of all the RC types. The MBX4 was a tank until I lost control of it and it smacked into a curb at WOT.

the buggy a got in the pic i put up did the same thing,(out of control blah blah blah) exept mine went across 4 lanes of highway and somehow managed to dodge all the cars, landed upside down and ran out of gas, hit the curb at probly 55 mph, and nothing on it broke, amazing little toy lol. sorry for the jacking of the thread.

I quit buying R/C stuff about a year ago. So no RX-8's to show
The paint job on the blue 8 is kickin'
