It's a great car, I have one on order, it's beautiful, but like it or not: that engine compartment screams "WASHING MACHINE!"

thanks for those pics Jtek! the one had cloth seats. were the insert areas as grey as they look in the photos? what was your impression of the cloth seats in general.

To be honest, I REALLY did not like the cloth seats. They really seemed to cheapen the look of the interior. As far as I could tell, the seats looked gray and black. Not two shades of black. Keep in mind though, these were hand-built pre-production cars. The seat color and/or style may very well change on the production units. I hope it does...

Man, how come you luck guys in the USA get to see the puppy up close and personal?

We don't seem to get any kind of look-in at all here in the UK...

95% of Mazda dealers haven't even seen one yet... crazy!

I phoned my dealer a week ago and the woman who answered didn't even know what an RX-8 is let alone how to see one!
