Yeah, the roads in Cape Town (City) are IMHO the best in South Africa. Lots of long twisties with the sea and mountain on either side of the road.

Wow dude, as much as I love my car that's a lotta cash for an 8. I do agree with you though on the manufactures trying to constantly rip their customers. A new 8 here, MSRP is probably @ $35K. I'm pretty sure it could be had for less than that though. A used 04 one goes for less than $20K. Keep the pics coming

Nice pics, nice friends, and whoa, that's a hefty price on an 8. A fully loaded brand new 8 can be had for just over $30,000 here. Would it cost you less than than extra $20,000 you paid there to have one shipped from here??

 

They have right hand drive, very heavy tarrafs on imports and taxes that would make you think we did not have any.

I'm impressed. How did you know that? I'd luv to import a car from the UK or US
but high import tarrifs make it almost impossible (also there's the RHD issue). A Ferarri 430 Modena for example costs $400k here!!! I think its around $100k in the US (hope I'm not mistaken).

 

Yeah, that's why I'd never buy one brand new. I paid $25k for mine. Expensive in dollars but cheap when u compare what they go for brand new here. The reason for the huge drop is the unpopularity of the car (mostly due to the high MSRP).

Excellent decision. Altho' I can't complain there wasn't much choice for me. Mods for the 8 are scarce here.
