Talking my new silver baby!

I'm an RX-8 "virgin". This is my first Mazda, and I thought I'd do it right!! Any suggestions for upgrades?

I have a suggestion:
Park closer to the curb next time so you don't risk your shiny 8 getting dinged.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, guys! This gives me a good place to start. Do you have names of any places that I can get some deals on some parts? As I said, I'm a total "virgin" to this, so I need all the help I can get...

This forum is all you need. There is a vender section which can get you everything you need. Some offering discounts for forum users. If you don't find something just do a search and you should find what you need. Its all out there and with 'do it yourself' threads for installation. If, in fact, you want to do them yourself.

p.s. A clear bra from Clear-Guard is a must, IMO. Unless the rock chips don't bother you.

When I bought the car, it came with a wind deflector for the sunroof. I think that's what you're referring to.

I was looking at the vendors here for the strakes, but haven't seen any. Any ideas on where to get some??

By the way, my parking spot is pretty big. I had plenty of room on both sides, and my neighbors know to NOT EVEN park close to my new baby. Just didn't want you to think I don't know how to park. LOL

Trussville seems to be the most popular spot for ordering online Mazda accessories....

My husband clued me in on the site. Thanks for all the great info! I think I'll ask for some strakes and clear corners for my birthday. After that, who knows... He's going to be sorry that he got me hooked on this site. lol I guess I'll have to be nice and let him drive my car every once in a while!

I'm a gal with a silver one, too....it's sweet! I will be getting strakes in the spring for sure. Hubby won't let me do too much to the car. I wanted to tint the windows but he said no! Oh well, just happy to own the car! Enjoy the ride and attention!!

Thanks, Wendy! Tint would be fun, too!! I'm going to be moving to PA in a few months, and I heard their tint laws are a little strange. I need to read up on that first.

I definitely notice I get more attention while driving my "8"!!

I haven't seen many other gals on this board. Do you know how many of us are lurking around on these boards?

Enjoy your ride! I know I am loving mine!!

Hey girls!! Good to see you can appreciate the beauty of the RX 8 too!! Sunlightred8....don't you just love the black/red interior? Do you have any pics? Polished rims I'd like to see. Did you get the rotary accent pkg? Snowsurfgirl....you will need winter tires if you are going to PA. Stock all seasons are horrible....not even drivable. I have Dunlop M2's on my stock rims and they are awesome...like night and day!! Good to see you both here.....I have been around for awhile now...notice how many posts I have! Il really enjoy cars!

Hey cruzdreamer, thanks for the wheel advice! I'll definitely be looking into those in a few months. I'll probably get a second set of rims that I won't mind if they get abused a little bit.
