The insurance estimator along with the guy that normally worked on my car could not come any conclusion but suspect it could have been the CAT. The heat melted the emergency brake cables and wiring harness and burnt a nice big hole in the back floorboard. I always maintained my Baby and was as clean as new. Now she has gone to salvage to have her working organs harvested.
Fortunate to get a very good deal on a new 2008 Anniversary RX-8. I miss my old Baby but this one handles beautiful with the sportuned suspension and billy shocks.

Congrats on the 40th, as it's such a cool color that seems to change throughout the day. Living here in Texas, I've told all my friends that mine has the "Longhorn Burnt Orange UT Edition Leather"....and they believed me! Most of them all think I paid way more than I actually did.
