My mini-Mods.....

You've all seen these before, just doing my part posting. The clear side markers were a breeze. Installing the strakes were also easy, tho i never really used the template, I felt that it got in the way more and was able to eye it easier myself.

Mind you, I do not have the polished strakes that I had ordered, i'm told they are brushed. Though it is difficult to tell in the pic, they are the exact same color as the rims! Almost look as tho they are powder-coated to me. Then again, i've proven not to have been too smart lately, so who knows. They look good....for now....until I get new rims anyway!!

Bear in mind, I used one of those antique film cameras, had the film developed at Wal_Mart where they put it on cd, then I resized them...that's why they don't look quite right.

Got the gas cover from CanZoomer. There are other places that sell them, I believe www.rotoryextreme.com, amongst others, sells them also.

That's weird there are different strakes out there. Mine are polished aluminum and look real good. As much as they cost it seems as though Mazda would replace them, IMO...

If anybody with strakes could take the time to measure them properly and post it, I am sure I, or someone else, could get to seing about making some knockoffs.

I'm the one that started the rumor of much cheaper strakes....the person that i know could make them will be retiring from the military soon and setting up his own metal shop. I told him about the strakes deal, he says that's the type of thing he wants to get into, just small stuff he can provide to undercut the big producers.

gonna be a while so don't wait up!
