The thing that'd finish the Mazdaspeed 8 is the Magnesium alloy Mazdaspeed racing wheels, the Mazdaspeed exhaust (might already be on it but the tips look a bit small), Mazdaspeed gauges, and ....... that's all I can think about. Mazda makes a lot of Mazdaspee d aprts for the 8 but they're all so small and visual. Oh the suspension too!

haha, nah. too much work. you have to fill the holes and such. but it does make a huge difference without the emblem. your ride is still fine. i wish i had the gauges. nice ride btw.

Very nice. I can't complain about anything . Or maybe throw on a Mazdaspeed badge (taking off the Mazda one of course).

Just curious, did you put the strakes up yourself? I am seriously thinking of getting a set of strakes myself, and clear corners as well, but I am worried that I might not be able to do a good job myself ... esp that I have seen photos on this board, where some strakes are not set straight, looking very odd ... is it worth the extra to let Mazda do the job for me?

I was shopping online and a set of strakes and clear corners would be less than Can.$400 (include shipping), which I reckon is reasonable.

The strakes is DIY, very easy to do (15 minutes job). For Can$400, I receommend you to get a quote from www.japanparts.com ask for Graham. As for the clear corner, all Japan's RX-8, it comes with it originally.

As previously stated, strakes are an easy install, and it is NOT difficult to set them straight. If you simply align them with the little plastic horizontal "fins" on the vents, they'll come out fine. Oh, and you can get both strakes and clear corners for considerably less than $400. I got the stainless strakes from rx8-accessories.com in the UK (half the price of the OEMs AND they look better IMHO), and clear corners can be had for roughly $60 shipped...they're frequently listed on Ebay or in the For Sale section here on the boards.

You can get both for roughly $200 US. And I agree, that guage pod kicks ***.

That guage pod is awesome!

I got my strakes on ebay a couple years ago, and they still look new. (I'm not sure if the guy is still selling them...I think he was in the UK or something?)

I think I also paid ~$50 shipped fo rmy clear corners. You can install both of them very easily. Take the money you'd save by paying the stealership to install them, and put it towards your next mod!
