Chris, if you are to change suspension, might as well go with full suspension change So that once you have everything done, turbo/sc would be the next and maybe last stop for you (thats if you don't keep on having more ideas to pimp your ride )

I have to chime in and sadly say it looks patched together to me. I like some parts and hate some parts. I have built a few show cars and can appreciate the good work on the installs though. It does not seem to flow.

Looking again, the stickers, rivits on the wheels, and the fuel door ruin it for me. I love the spoiler, sides, paint and wheels (without chrome rivits).

stickers can come off easy....thats no big thing.....the fuel door is gonna get powder coated to match the grey and i may have the rivots painted to match the VR.....as for the front i love the veilside....ms is too plain for me and thats not the look im going for....its a work in progress and it will be ever changing....

So take them off man!!! Painting the rivots would look better. I personally do not like the veilside but it will give you points at shows over the MS.

not that you need to hear it from a newbie but looks pretty darn good to me. of course i'm also a stock 8 driver but will hopefully have some mods down the line. i don't know if it's the computer nerd in me or what but i like the 'rotary inside' sticker.

lookin' good.

Oh, I see, the only comments you want are ones that praise your work, and anyone who thinks it doesn't look great is a "grandpa". You should've titled the thread "It looks great and no dissenting opinions allowed, pics attached".

Understandable to want kudos, I guess, but if you throw up a dozen pics, you open yourself up to comments like the one you're responding to in that quote. I'm with swerver and redcivic, it looks thrown together and has numerous elements that I find objectionable... Like it was modified just for the sake of modifying it. Just HOW completely wrong the finished product ended up is shown by the pics side-by-side with that black RX-8, apparently stock without even any of the "appearance pak" bits.

I like it, kinda, i agree with the not flowing comment. If the grey parts were black, it'd flow so much better but the faux cf look im not into. But thats not exactly major, the sticker too are questionable but as you said they can be taken off.

All in all, good effort, hopefully in a week ill put pics of mine up when the kit gets put on it :D

ok first of all did i ask for a single opinion from any one? i think not! i merely posted pictures up....now some may say that if you have something nice to say then say it, but there is no need to be rude....some people on these boards like to bash because it makes them feel better about themselves but its not necessary.....personally if i dont like the look of other peoples cars (and there have been a few on here) i keep my comments to myself...and i also do accept constructive criticism like recivic but what you and swerver are doing is not the same....

Faux probably wasn't the right word, i meant the nose bit, bottom bits of side skirts and the rear apron (which i know is the MS graphite colour)... but with your car i reckon that will all flow so much better if it were black, even the lip spoiler, the graphite/cf on the red doesn't look as good as it could.

But yeah, all the parts i like, just the colour combo im not toooo sure about... but kudos to ya for being individual

I personally love posting pics on the net because people give you an honest opinion because they are not affraid to hurt your feelings. I had an RSX with almost 20k in it and I had these chrome Velox rims on it that I thought were hard. Well my first show I heard a judge make a comment as he walked off about how blingy the rims were. I came in second place to clean JDM teg. Which sucked because this was in 01' when the RSX was new so I got a big wow factor from the judges that had not seen modded RSX's before.

So afterwards I bought a digital camera and posted some pics on www.honda-acura.net and eveyone loved my car but dogged my wheels. The next week I bought some 18" Enkei RS-5's and never got less than 1st place after that (there were hardly any modded rsx's around back then so I competed against tegs). My point is that the judge did'nt want to dog me out so he did'nt say anything to me. I wish he would have just told me "I would have given you 1st place if it were not for those gay rims".

By posting the pictures, you invite opinion... Positive and negative. You hope for positive and hope the negative is minimal. Throwing it out there in a series of photos is the www version of "Hey, guys, whaddya think?"

As for being "rude", I think that the criticism you've seen of your vehicle is some of the least rude "bashing" ever seen in the history of the internet message boards.

And I do... But I don't agree with the style choices that were obviously made deliberately, that's all.

And don't worry, I don't think you're having a "go" at me any more than chrism should think that I'm having a "go" at him. Can't I express my opinion without it being taken as a flame? I don't think any of the language I've used has been derogatory.
