Re: Re: My 2004 "Scuderia Ferrari" RX-8 :)

h0rde, please....don't do it.....
I'm a Ferrari fan too....but is not the right way to express your passion...

Non sta bene....non è elegante..toglili. [/B]

Sulla rx-8 no.

I was on hondaprelude.com, which was a great community, but the webmaster has since run out of cash to keep it running. It was never as good as the bb here though...

Ferrari badges on any non-Ferrari are just as rice as Type R stickers on any non-Type R. It's orders of magnitude short of the Lamarossa, but still...

So, here's your solution - Team Voodoo badges . The Voodoo chicken (also known as the Pollo Rampante) badge pays homage to Ferrari, without the rice factor. By yourself a Team Voodoo aluminum or titanium shift **** so that your membership in Team Voodoo is legitimate, and let your RX-8 wear the fender badges with pride.

I have a set of magnetic Voodoo fender badges that my Miata wears during competitions or some club events, and they're a lot of fun. They attract attention, but in a good, funny way, and nobody ever accuses me of posing because of them.

Regards,
Gordon

Or, for that matter, get both the Voodoo and BS Levy's Montezuma's Ferrari stickers - see http://www.lastopenroad.com

thanks for paying attention, they're magnets and they go off and on in about .5 seconds. If you had read the thread, you also would have noticed that I already had to give ike a talkin to for being an (expletive deleted), so kindly keep your comments constructive and beneficial to the thread. So if you could go ahead and try to do that from now on, that'd be greaaaat...thannnks!

At ease. It's not like they're in a normal badge location, nor am I trying to convince folks it's some kind of Ferrari. If you'd looked, you'd see that the Team Voodoo logo is a chicken (as in voodoo) with the colors of the USA. The Montezuma's Ferrari sticker is done with chili peppers and the colors of Mexico - it's from a book about the Carerra Panamericana. Plus, I've been a Team Voodoo dealer and team member, and I do the web site for BS Levy and his books and merchandise. Those stickers are in the same place one might find a local car club badge or a service organization badge (like Shriners). It's no more than if I had put Eibach stickers there - which I admit is a bit rice boy.
So, are you going to give me **** about my Team Voodoo valve caps on the wheels??

Guess there is some confusion as to which photo this ****** is refererring .

Only if you keep your pics to yourself. You asked for this now take it like a man or delete the thread.

As for the voodoo badges I don't think it's a whole lot better. A select few in the Mazda community may know what they are but to most other people it's just going to look like a wannabe Ferrari badge (which it sort of is either way). I could see it for use at Mazda events or various driving competitions but to drive around with it every day is going to get a similar reaction to the ferrari badges.

I know when the Team Voodoo guys drive up from San Diego to the Monterey Historics, with their stickers on the sides of the Miatas, the truckers mistake them for Ferraris (overheard on CB radio chatter).

My point (which I thought I had expressed before) was that there's a difference between the people who said they don't like it by saying something like, oh, i don't know, "i don't think that looks good," and people like you, who would rather express your opinion (which i asked for, correct) along with making assumptions about the kind of person I am and then criticising me for things that you think I would do but haven't. When I read many of the responses in here I think, "maybe this idea doesn't do what I thought it would afterall," but when I read your posts, I think, "wow, ike is a jerk." I hope you understand why the difference is important.

That's ok, and you may or may not actually be a jerk, but it's not that important. I'm just saying you could express your opinions in a better way sometimes.

The sticker is well getting into rice-like territory. I would lose the sticker and the moonroof deflector...

Hey it's who I am, when I express my opinion I make sure it's very clear how I feel. Anyhow, I'm indifferent on the moonroof deflector.

I just took my moonroof deflector off last week. The deflector blocks a lot of sun (or moon) when the opening is already small to begin with, and I didn't like that. It did, however, block a lot of wind noise which I didn't think would make that much difference but it really was better with it on.

I don't like the way it looks though, so it stays off.

well since it's 30 degrees now I'm not exactly doing a lot of driving with the moonroof open, so I could take the deflector off now regardless. Perhaps I'll give that a shot tomorrow.
