On a special side note:
The driver side rear aero flare on my 8 was separating from the body. The adhesive was just breaking down and not holding. I took it to a local dealer to have it repaired. They came back at me with my 8 had 12250 miles on it, which was just a mere 250 over warranty service adjustments, so they could not repair/replace. I said OK and went home to call Mazda Corporate. When I spoke to them about my issue, the guy, though friendly kinda hesitated on issuing the service as warranty. He looked up my VIN and my name. He then come back at my with you own a MPV ES also right? My reply.. Yes I do and it was purchased from the same dealer that I wanted to fix my 8, though not purchased from them. Guy says... "You own 2 Mazda’s, that's customer loyalty, I will authorize the warranty repair & the dealer will call you when the REPLACEMENT flare comes in!"
Needless to say I got off the phone today feeling very satisfied with my outcome. If I owned 3 or 4 Mazda’s, I wonder if I could get extended warranties for free!!!
Anyway, I think Mazda Corp is good people and you should give them a crack if yer dealer will not play nice. If you own more than 1 Mazda... you might want to mention it as it may lend more leverage to you plight.

Yes, the paint is original on that. I've really taken very good care of the MX3 and plan on keepin her for ever.

I did change the wheels/tires. They are 18 inch and make the care handle really well. But it makes a very stiff ride.

That's the bad part I suppose about owning a black car. Especially, a sports car. Have to wash them a lot.
