Well, I entered a show last Saturday to see what it was like. I was going for "Best Tuner" seeing how I have over $5K in mods right now

Little did I know, that the Rice Boys showed up in force, and stuffed the ballot box with votes for their buddies favorite Honda. Oh well, at my age it really did not bother me at all. What was amazing was the amount of nicotine these guys consume on a daily basis. I had a heart attack just watching them puff away.

The real show was the 'ole Chevy Muscle that showed - I remember those cars from when I was in High School. Took me back to good memories.

I say the 8 and the Pantera are the best lookin' cars there. The so called "best tuner" is a joke...so did you win anything?

ur car looks stock nemesis
i know its not, but i don't think people at the show are going to go look under your car and see ur midpipe or look deep into ur engine and notice u have a lightened flywheel
the RB intake also looks stock...
also 5k in mods isn't that much compared to those other people whose rims alone would be more then half that.

you shouldnt be shocked that you didnt win especially since u are going for the best tuned award, when ur car isnt even tuned... i.e. ecu ::shrugs::
didnt want to sound mean, but just blunt sorry


plus whats wrong with the tiburon? other then that wing... it doesnt look too bad

nemesis car is tuned. He has a custom tuned canzoomer unit. I do agree though, the car isn't as flashy as some of the other rides in the car show, so chances winning isn't that high. But regardless even if he had 15-20k invested, that whack civic would probably still have won because the ballot was stuffed. Whats the point.

 

Yeah - I agree on the rims. It's next on my list. Maybe ADR M-Sports in Hyperblack??

Did you notice the heat from the turbo in the Integra's engine bay? It was destroying everything around it. It was placed in a similar spot as the upcoming SFR turbo.

And the Tiburon (sp?) was bone stock except the rims. All it had were vinyl stickers everywhere and that huge wing. He would not open the hood all day to look at the engine.

whats their definition of "best tuner"?
did they have modern and classic categories?
to me the winner of "best tuner" must have all areas covered/modified... take the civic coupe for an example... it has a non-factory colour (even the engine bay), modified engine (maybe tuned ecu, extractors etc), body works, wheels and interior.
the 8 looked stock, so you'd expect ppl walk straight past it without even wanting to know the details. :o
what did you spent the $5k on?

I did not expect to win, I was pointing out that the "Best Tuner" category was supposed to be for a modifed import car. The winner had been modifed. It was just ugly that's all.
