Mx-6 -> Rx-8
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I unfortunatly don't own a RX-8 but would love to. I own a MX-6, so since I love the RX-8 so much, I have modified my 6. Here are some pics (I didn't match the seats exactly because I didn't know if I would get in any legal trouble) I hope you guys like what I've done, these are old pics but it is still in progress.
Need to finish the installation of my audio/video and make it prettier.
Still need to make the extended center consol out of fiberglass, one day I will get around to it.
If you can't see in the pics, I also did the blue stitching on black like the 2 tone interior RX-8s.
Thats it so far!

Nice one!
Hey, I have seen your car from the mx6.com forum. How much did the whole thing cost?
Yeah, post up some exterior pics too. Since you love the RX-8 so much, are you one of the MX-6 owners trying to fit RX-8 rims to your car?

I don't want to sound condescending, or like I'm lecturing you, but an RX-8 doesn't cost all that much, and the insurance rates on it are rock bottom. It wouldn't take much cash to lease or buy it!
If you want an RX-8, quit making mods to your current car and get it.

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments! Yeah, I'm always over at mx6.com The whole thing cost about $300 for the material and shift ****. I reupholstered it myself with the help of my mom, lol. I will get some ext. pics up too. Nah I don't want the RX-8 rims, I am going to buy a set of Axis Spiders once I get the $1500 together. Although I have thought about an RX-8 tail light conversion, but that would end up being real pricey. I would buy an RX-8, but I am in college and only work part time, so I would either have enough money to make a payment on it, or have enough money to pay for gas for that month lol. But it is deff. my dream car. I'll get some more pics up though.

Thank you MikeB. Those are very kind words. I started that project many years ago and showed and raced it up until 2 years ago. I just got rid of it in May before picking up my Rx8. Your 8 looks very nice as well. Have a good one.

Oh crap, your car (Hisakata) came up in a post about 4 months ago on mx6.com. People were talking about different tail light conversions. Very nice! Sorry to make you guys miss your 6s They are wonderful cars, I hope to have the only one left someday, because I won't get rid of mine since I won't be able to get much $$ for it. Soon I will post my exterior pics, its basically bone stock except the headlights. One day it will be better.
