Yea, without spending a ridiculous amount on racing seats, which none i like and none look as good IMO or say mazdaspeed, this is the best i could come up with
It says SRS airbag on the tag, so i am assuming so although its not a seperate looking unit like the rx8 seats so im not sure... i havnt done any wiring yet so i will let you know.

i would think those seats would be plug and play.. and if they were not connected you would have an airbag light!

Nice, but I also like the stock seats better.
Now if you had the MS aftermarket seats from Japan, then I really would be jealous!
I always wanted a pair of the Type-F. But Mazdaspeed doesn't make them anymore because the are going to introduce the Type-N.
So now I can't wait for them to get the Type-N out. This press release is from '07, but as far as I can tell they aren't for sale yet. Pricey too!

To answer your question, yes I have also test driven the MS3. The MS3 seats look nice, but seemed to sit higher than the RX-8's seats, maybe it's different when mounted in the 8.
But do not confuse the real JDM Mazdaspeed seats with cheap eBay knock offs. I have sat in many kinds of seats including Recaro, Bride, and the JDM Mazdaspeed seats. I often go to Japan for business trips and have sat in the MS seats in an aftermarket shop and I do prefer them to stock. That's where my interest in the MS seats came from. The MS seats provide way better thigh support than either the MS3 seats or RX-8 seats. The quality is top notch, they are very comfortable and offer support/grip of race oriented seats. The MS Type-F seats are similar to Recaro Speeds but smaller, as they can also fit a Miata.

To each his own.

I am thinking about removing those bars and welding brackets straight to the sliders to drop some height, however the way they are now is just high enough to help me see better over the hood, yet low enough where i still have plenty of room to move around. not that im moving around anymore :P

only $800? You should sell your stock seats. You would be able to get back your money easy....
I have the leather black/red combo, and each one of my front seats is worth $1700! I would say the cloth version would probably be worth at least $600-700 each.
