Most Eccentric
Let's call this thread The Eccentric Shaft. The theme being an unusual to bizarre photo of your 8.
I'll start it off with a couple that I took last Thursday around downtown...

Taken later that night only a few blocks away, here's one that I expect will have wide appeal on a much more base level...
A completely random find. I took the opportunity to investigate this as a rolling sociology experiment.

Since we had our airshow this weekend, I'll go ahead and post one more here from the following day...
(Those of you who know me know that I'm fanatical about things that fly.)
Those MiGs are privately owned by a couple who have retired as airline pilots, the dude being ex-Air Force. The woman owns the two-seater is probably the only female on the planet who has a MiG-21 type rating.

Another random find from last Thursday that I turned into a sociological investigation...
I'm sure that this photo will have a much more narrow appeal, but it certainly counts as eccentric. As with that Girls Gone Wild investigation, I made an effort to suspend my judgement while composing the photo. This location was also downtown Houston just a few blocks away from those first two photos above. There was much more powerful symbology right underneath that flag that I snapped repeatedly to capture, but I'm not sure that I'll post it.

There's actually a pickup truck parked next to those heads. I didn't want it in the photo so I went with the RX-8 vignette option: doors wide open, seats fully back. I took a few shots and then realized that it would look cleaner with the parking brake down.
Here's another from that shoot:

Notice that the bird is actually one of these: http://www.linksheaven.com/images/do...6/spitfire.jpg

There are no planes anywhere close to that cool at our local racetracks. Just the lifeflight choppers!

I just shat myself
GREAT first pic, those heads are creepy!
You should've painted 4 of them KISS style, that'd be hilarious!..
I'm actually just too lazy, and too frugal to take my car places for pictures..

If the back lot hadn't been closed off, I would have gotten a photo of my 8 with JPG&R for all the Beatles fans here.
As for being frugal, I'm down with that. I didn't spend an extra dime to take any of these photos.

You can draw a one mile circle at the center of this map:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=housto...&t=h&z=15&om=1
...and you'll cover all three of those downtown Houston locations. The airplane shot was right near my office at our local airport. The Easter Island photo was done on my big East Coast Road Trip over to Florida and up to Maine and back. I've cruised my 8 out to Atlantic and Pacific beaches and taken pictures of it with some really strange sites. Giant roadrunners and the like!
