More pics

I haven't posted pics in a while. And since my favorite local pic spot is back up and running now that the weather has finally warmed up around here, I thought I would add a few shots to our collection. Again, not exactly the lighting I wanted as it was a little overcast. But I think they came out pretty good. If I get some with more direct lighting, I'll just add them to this thread.

great pics! Great 8! one question, the grill behind the front fender, did you paint that silver or does it just look silver in the picture?

Thanks "D".

Konig,

You can find more info here. This thread was moved to DIY so it really wasn't setup that way. I wasn't the first to paint my vents and there is a good DIY on removing them for painting ... at least I think that's where it is.

Whealy,

I think on the blue the silver venting looks great especially with the clear corners. Very nice. I think there would be too much contrast on a darker car (like black) but looks great on yours!

Sanguine_Dark,

Yeah I kind of agree with that. I tried to pick a color that matched the wheels. I think to many colors just make it worse. Although I have thought painting them white and getting white wheels. I think that coud look good.

As for the clears on the black, I saw a RX-7 (F?) at the Rotary Rev that had clears on all spots on a black. I personally thought it looked really sharp. But to each his/her own.

Whealy,

I like the clear corners on black. I just think painting the vents silver on black would be too much.

WHealy,

Been lurking for a bit but this thread inspired me to create an account.

Do you have any more pics / info on your interior?

Ive got a winning blue 8 and I would LOVE to have a blue leather interior similar to the Red Leather package that Mazda offers...Yours is the first Ive seen that even comes close.

Thanks.
