Im sure she put the wing on with the anticipation of the body kit, and the veilside kit is aggressive enough to go with a park bench.

It's the biggest wing I've ever seen on an 8. To each their own and my own opinion is that the wing is completely out of place on a RX8... as said before it belongs in a park somewhere

 

thats why i made a MS paint lol. wings like that can make cars fly

i only like them on track cars. as for daily etc, looks knida of pointless. but as long they like it, that is all that matters.

 

The rx7 is really nice, the rx8 is really ghey...and its already a better choice of word considering you are a pretty girl with an 8.

Just wondering, your rx7 is 10 times better in looks and performance...why don't you just keep this stock or use the mazdaspeed kit?

You guys are not realizing this car is pieced together and unfinished. She stated she is putting a bodykit on it.

IMHO we should wait til she finishes before passing judgement on the huge wing.

You guys, I tell ya...The rx-7 looks pretty agressive and it looks great. Lets keep in mind that's one of her builds. The rx-8 is a build in the works. She is clearly going for another agressive look with the kit that she bought. It's not finished yet people. Give it a chance. For all you guys that say big wings look like *** on the "8" tell me what you think of this.

 

to be honest with you, i dont like it. but that is me. as long you like, that is all that matters. for me, big wings on a non track car is pointless. but like i said that is just me.

i am pretty sure, someone will like the gt wings here, just like i am pretty sure some ppl may not. that is why it only matters what the owner likes, and not what othres think. its cool that you want ot be different, just not my cup of tea.

 

Yours is also alot lower than the gaudy one on hers. In both cases they are still too wide. Yours looks wider than the car!

While your car's wing doesn't make me want to gouge my eyes out immediately I can't help but picture how clean it would look without the wing. OK maybe it looks decent but without it, the car would look so much better. I'm saying with non functional exterior mods why would you put on something that actually degrades the appeal of the car?

i do like the hood and props to the girl driving a red car in essex if its so outlandish there...but im sorry that wing is ridiculous. if i saw that driving down the street i would feel bad for that poor 8. the FD is nice..i still dont like the wing though.

 

Because it is her car to do whatever the hell she wants! Just like it is your personal taste to spend money putting on an upcoming OEM appearance package. Don't get me wrong, this is not my thing either but I would never seriously blast someone for doing what they want to their own car. As proven by that sexy *** 7, she has good taste in builds so far... I hold personal judgement until seeing the finished product.

Mine is not wider than the the car, and on the contrary, the lines on the wing flow perfect with the body of the car, as these pictures illustrate.

The only exterior mods on the car that are not functional are the sideslirts and debadging. Let me explain it to you.

All the venting is obvious. It dissipates heat and reduces build up. The wing must help on track days. Just like the deffuser in the rear. They both share one fuction and thats to break up the air flowing over and coming from under the car. Helps with drag you know. Openings in the front end help with air flow and cooling.

As far as the appeal is concerned, just today I was at a light beside one of thoses new Jags. The XK Coupe. It's safe to say it was completely overlooked. I'm hoping it wasn't because of shock value

P.S. Thanks for the "OK maybe it looks decent" kudo. Plus I have a spoon if you need any help with that eye gouging thing.

the 7 is gorgeous. cant wait to see the 8 when its finished. and i agree, lets have some better pictures with them out in the open. its like you were standing against the car when these pics were taken.

 

I was saying you car looks good other than the wing. I think if you didn't have the wing and maybe just a lip your car would be clean as hell. Fitment on those fenders is the best I've seen.

I was gonna get the Accolade fenders after my dad backed into my car and ruined my front bumper and one of my front fenders but I heard nothing but how bad the fitment was. If I had seen yours I may have gotten them.

 

The fitment on the fenders was terrible. I knew it would be. But as you can see, you just have to find the right body guys to make it work.
