Whay are you out at a BAR in Uniform? You should refer to AR 670-1.

find for me where is says you can not go to a resturant/bar in uniform? And no you can not drink while in the ACU that is in the book however. I also tend to cut someone fresh out of basic (notice lack of left shoulder patch)a bit of slack seeing how hard they've just worked by reminding them to have a good time and put the beer down.

As long as the place serves food primarily; it is ok to go in ACU's can't drink though. IET Soldiers can't drink anyway.

 

I think they can now? I know you can at AIT.

Good for them - I hated AIT cause it was worse than Basic on the stupid-ness.

 

It is stated in the AR 670-1. Also notice the beer behind him. Also at AIT if you are drinking, I know you are not in Uniform. If you are than the DI's would be all over you. Back to the subject.

humm you can at ft.sam 68w school you just can't bring it into the bay/barricks.

 

If you are in an AIT longer than 26 weeks I think; you can get Phase 5 plus - and then you can drink... something like that anyway. We could in Dive School; but only after Pool Week.

 

hmm. our drill sergeants said that no MOS was allowed to while in a training status. maybe its only combat MOS's

 

OSUT for sure can't I bet.

Some of us were in school for 14 months... a long time to not drink.

haha i love the navy. only time we can't drink is directly after boot camp. any "a" school you can. just can't have it in the barracks... which isn't really a smart idea. just means we have to drink it all in one night :-D
