I was in the novice group so sometimes I'd get caught in traffic leading up to the straight or have to lose a little speed executing a pass or lifting a bit to allow someone to pass me.
Saturday was my first time on the track so I was caution (i.e. not that good). Weather on Sunday was an issue with rain, snow, sleet, etc.. But I did have one dry session.

Car is totally stock except has Mobul 600 DOT4 brake fluid.
Here is what happenned on day one. This guy had a bad day at the track. His car had 1300 miles on it. It was the first (and probably last) time it saw the track.

Did you go as part of the Windy City BMW club? I was planning to go but things didn't work out. My buddy in a black Prelude (from Michigan) ended up going. I only went there once a few years ago and since then have never been able to go back no matter how hard I tried.
Were there any other RX8's there?

Yes, this was with Windy City BMW. I'm a windy city member and I'm also signed up for their Gingerman school in June.
I remember your friend's Prelude. He was in a more advanced run group. I was in the novice group. I was the only RX8 on the track but there was another red one in the padock but no numbers on it so it was a friend/guest/other car of someone.
