Is this the glass belly button surgery I have heard about? No need to pull your head out when you can add one of these to see your way around!

MD State has no white in their cruisers. If there was a "Trooper 8" this is what it would look like based on their current colors black and puke green. Besides, I did this in 15 mins (including the search for police car images to strip off cop stuff), I do have a life - I'd rather be out driving my 8.

The only Trooper 8 owned by MSP right now is a medivac heli.

Talking

LOL :D -- It would never work -- I'm sure they couldn't last long in a chase cause it'd run out of gas before the bad guys lol :D

There are currently 2 Cruisers, but they have been assigned as take-home units to the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. :p

Down here in Florida, these Z28s are a very common sight on the shoulder of the highways:

Another incentive to turbocharging an RX-8..

Shouldn't it have steel wheels to carry on pursuits across sidewalks without breaking alloys?

Not necessarily so. Harley Davidison and motor cops rallied for years to keep a rule in police agency charters that said all vehicles must be American made. They wanted their Hogs.

However there have been a small number of departments who have bucked tradition such as Falls Church, VA, which used to have Volvos.

Hybrid Police Cars
By Christy Whitehead

Police agencies around the United States are buying hybrid police cars to replace gas-guzzling counterparts and save taxpayers' money. Hybrid cars like the Toyota Prius and the hybrid version of the Honda Civic average 50 mpg compared to the 16 mpg of the current law enforcement workhorse, the Ford Crown Victoria.

The giveaway was the aftermarket rims. No state budget would approve that expense.
