Mazdaspeed wing?

I am really sick of hearing "buy authentic, it's the ONLY way to go" and "thats lame, it's a replica" but in all reality, is their a Mazdaspeed replica wing that fits really well, and isn't too narrow from side to side, and isn't almost as much as the "AUTHENTIC". i really don't want to pay $600 for a primed version of the original from the dealer or from the internet. is their one that is reasonable priced that look almost as good as the original?

i don't want to pay the HUGE $$$ for the original but if it "truley" is worth it i guess i have to save up. but if i can save a couple hundred i would love too.

anyone with replicas chime in here for me.

thanks
Anthony

yeah, and it takes only a few min for install, do it your self, just save your money for good body parts like MS or SEIBON

There is a reason authentic cost more, and it isn't just the name...fitment

Believe us when we say this, but the replicas look different from the authentic. Even if the fitment is perfect, something about the upper spoiler looks off on replicas. Go with the authentic.

I have a replica, fitment is 9/10. The only problem with it is that the brackets aren't metal. Other than that, people always ask me first, "This is authentic, isnt it?"

I got it from Fluid but he doesnt sell them anymore

What do you mean only a few? Wouldn't you still have to mark where you're going to drill and mount? I don't know what all it entails for an OEM install but I would think it would take at least 20 mins for someone who knows what they're doing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The authentic MS wing reuses the holes from an oem spoiler, so if you already have the oem spoiler, it could take as little as 5 mins to install.

I know, I know. I was really hoping someone would say "go with this replica cuz it's just as good" I do not have a factory spoiler right now and the only one I would get is the MS one. But I have a eurethane front replica and it fit's perfect. I mean perfect after verry little work. The rear was a different story and I went back to stock.

But some replicas are fantastic, I will be drilling holes anyway so fitment to the factory holes isn't an issue, just how the lip follows the trunk curve and quality of material.

It's just the price tag is rediculous. $1,000 painted. Come on. That's absurd.

I know if I looked I could find it cheaper if I really searched, but what's the cheapest I'm going to find this thing painted/primed?

I don't compete officially yet so the mazdaspeed discount is out.

that's still expensive.

There is a replica available which I heard is an excellant fit except for the lip. The lip is a little off.

I wish I had a link to that site.

yeah that's huge $$$ and again. the problem.

and i wasn't looking for a link. just a $ figure

I'll search when i'm ready to purchase, aside from buying from a member for a used one, what's the cheapest anyone has found this online?

let's put our heads together and think about this.
and if there is a QUALITY replica, i'm down for that too.

It's the brackets that is the problem. I was in the market for the MS spoiler for a long time. I've even bought a replica in "good" condition. Lemme show you what you get.

It's some sort of plastic, maybe fiberglass? I wouldn't drive with it on my car.

Not all colors come painted which is one of the reasons you can purchased pieces with just primer.

buy a trunk rear lip, in my opinion i think it looks better than the spoiler.
