I've recently come across some nicely done 8s with the MS front but wingless, but wondering if I should do it...

Doing a quick 'chop here kinda make me wanna stay wing-ed, as wingless just doesn't have that "wow" feel i get from the other wingless MS-ed cars. What do you guys think?





I actually found a guy who goes to my school (the school parking sticker) in an apartment parking lot... even wrote a note... but figured I'd give some more thought to it before actually leaving it there...

Is this weird? lol... I'd be a little creeped out if I was receiving the note lol...

 

i like wingless, give it a more agressive look imo, kind of an optical illusion making it seem lower

 

I'll be going wingless soon also. I like the look and it does give the illusion that the ride is lower.

 

Takes 2 minutes to unbolt the 4, 10mm bolts...Do it and see what you think..

 

wingless and add a lip spoiler

 

I like wingless. it does look good but the car kind of looks naked without a spoiler. For example people love WRX's with out spoilers but i thing it looks really wrong.

Mine currently has a lip spoiler.



BUT i have ordered a M/S wing to finish of the look.

 

Get an MS wing !!! Really flows well with the rx8.

BTW Dan057 where did you order your MS wing ?? Pm pleaseeee im looking for one but authentics are so hard to find.

Back when I had the OEM spoiler I left a note on someone else's car asking if they would want to trade trunks. They were parked near some ivy/bushes and ten minutes later I walked by again and there were wet paper scraps all over their front windshield, looked like a massive spit-wad. So yeah, if you do it, make sure they didn't park near sprinklers, lol.

 

I think wingless is better. Mazdaspeed wing is looks great though! And I also like a small lip...or the GTO spoiler...lol

 

There is a definite split between wing and wingless.

I agree that wingless makes the car seem more aggressive (especially with an aggressive wheel set-up). But, a wing/spoiler makes it look more sporty and nimble, imo.

I bought the RX8 for it's handling and performance...

 

Split??? There are more favors for wingless than with wings. Definitely, i will go with wing (oem or mazdaspeed). I like the complete look.

Get a chassis mount Kognition wing like a baws.

 

I bought a replica M/S one as i refuse to pay the price of a genuine M/S one.

You might get 100 WHP on the dyno but the rear spoiler reduced lap times by 15-20% guaranteed.
