I was at my local mazda dealership getting my oil changed and they had a black 8 outside with these tags








Im not sure i should let them work on my car if they think the 8 is a gas saver lol

 

Hey its very fuel efficient.............. (for a midsize SUV)

that's almost as good as labeling it a 4 cylinder.

 

anyone who knows anything about cars would be able to tell we have a straight 8.

I've seen the same type of sticker on a Acura RSX at the dealership, "V6".

 

GAS SAVER RX8???must be one of the PREMIER EDITION 4 cylinder RX8,lol

 

if its the 4cyl version, it does get great gas mileage!

yeah an 04 is a great gas saver with all the time it spends flooded and in the shop...

 

I saw an 09 marked as an 08 in a dealer lot, but this is much better.

 

WTF lol. Whoever put that up there must of been drunk.

 

this might be a special addition rx8 which mazda released in 2004 without us knowing..... or maybe the dealer did a swap with a prius engine in there.... i guess anything can be possible.....




and i wonder what are they going to say if you ask them whats the mpg on the 8! LOL i bet they are going to say this car is such a gas saver, it gets like 175 miles a tank in the city and around 200 a tank on the highway. isnt it great?

 

Of course then again that might be one of those freak engines that gets 20mpg city

completely off topic i saw r3 at my dealership today they are pretty nice
and the salesmen told me the r3s have extra HP

 

I'm fairly certain that dealerships have no idea what an rx-8 has under the hood.

 

Bank St. Mazda had a HUGE windshield shade on one of their '08's... "GAS SAVER"

I wanted to drive in and ask them what that was all about... Ridiculous lol.
