I dropped my 2001 Miata off today for the 50,000 mile service and got to take this. It is going to be hard to drop it off tomorrow.

I work at a Honda dealership, which is why you see all of the Civic's in the background, and all the guys came out today to look at it and go for some rides. They really liked it and so do I.

I still want to see the Nordic Green/Chaparral combo and I do like the Silver/Red so I am not sure which of these three I would go with. I wanted to take this Titanium/Chaparral today to show my girlfriend since we are going to her office holiday party tonight. It will be cool to roll up to the club in this sweet ride.

Anyway, it will still be awhile before I get one but I sure do like them and congratulate you guys and girls who have them.

So hondas2k, you are saying the mazda dealership is giving out RX-8's as service loaner cars? Oh how the mighty have fallen...

 

What's wrong with that? Isn't this the idea - The RX-8 being just a regular Mazda car but with a rotary? It was never supposed to be Miata or RX-7

 

Well, I have purchased 2 Miatas and an RX-7 turbo from them and I have been the PR Director for the Miata club for 4 years now. Through this, I have built a really good relationship with Mazda South and they work with our club a lot and get a lot of business through us as well.

I don't always get an RX-8 when I take my car in but this is the 2nd time that they have let me have one for a day or more and I am not complaining. :D

Hey, it's good for them to get more of them out on the road because I don't see enough of them driving around yet.

Well, I am sure that they are trying to tempt me to buy my 4th car from them and they know I love the RX-8. They have over 30 on the lot so I guess letting me drive one in hopes of me buying from them again is a pretty good sales tactic.
