Lightning hits Hawaii
After more than a year of telling myself to wait for the '05, I caved in and got a Lightning Yellow Sport pkg 6spd. It's been over a decade since I bought my FD3S '93 RX-7 R1, but this new SE3P RX-8 erases all memories of that beloved car. It's FANTASTIC!!! Why did I wait so long?!
Anyway, here are the pics of "Lightning hits Hawaii"...

Very beautiful car and scenery.
However, I cannot believe that the side of the road in your 3rd picture is as littered as it is. WTF is wrong with people now days?!?!? Pick up after yourself, your Mommy isn't always going to be around to do it for you. That is just terrible that anyone would do this to such a beautiful place as that.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
AlexCisneros: Nope, my old FD was not CYM, but I think I know which car you're talking about. I gave up my FD years ago due to the kids coming along. (BTW, you seem to know Hawaii pretty well.)
D Menac 7: It really pisses me off too when folks spoil our pretty islands with trash. That litter does spoil the picture! I may just have to photoshop it out.
RX-Nut: Yeah my better half was sick of hearing me always talking about the car and gave in just to shut me up. And after seeing the yellow, she actually liked it better than red (my second choice after yellow). The chance that Lightning Yellow might be gone for '05 led me to act now.

I try to go once a year... I was just there the 22nd through the 30th and heard of the yellow FD. I also got to drive Round Top (unfortunately in a Ford POS rental). The stretch between HB and Sandy though is absolutely beautiful (both road and scenery).
Miami Beaches have a lot to envy of Hawaii, and our flat, straight roads are just shameful
I kept telling the wife that if I could bring my car with me on the next trip, I'd never leave.
Enjoy your car in paradise :D
