Same story I posted in the LAX thread: laxmeet.com
The same head of security guy was there with a black & white, and around 9ish he gathered every1 up for his announcement. Gave the "U guys r great, but not in our backyard" speech. In a nutshell, agreed to a 1/2 hour for everyone to clear out, wants to talk and help us find another spot, and anyone who shows up next month will encounter police and tickets. He said our big group can scare potential customers which is respectable. We didn't get kicked out because of the guy who was revving, though that shouldn't have happened anyways.
He's a nice guy and he reads this thread. He knows our basic rules, been to previous meets, and knows what kind of crowd we are.

More in depth version of the night's events.... again straight from the LAX thread: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...13386&page=142
Lost count after the whole discussion, but we more than likely hit 60 cars this meet. People are still rolling in @ 9 (right at the discussion) and about 10 showed up during or right after.
More detailed version of the "meeting"~
Hilarity! First he gave us the low down on what he wanted to happen and then asked for any kind of "organizers or leaders." BWAHAHA!!! Rodger sags his head and walks forward and I sheepishly half-raised my hand. We explained Rodger organized the meet at it's start & keeps it going and I sorta just take pics and act as a care taker of sorts for the meet. Rodger went on to explain that the meet started off as an RX8 meet 2 years ago and then we spread it to other forums to bring in more people. We told him about the LAX cops "visit" (which was last Oct. ), and that we've had an excellent track record, never bothered anyone, never had any incidents with customers, and never had any tickets issued. He seems to understand that our group/location only started becoming an issue when we got blocked from the roof.
After our history lessons of sorts, he told us about the property owners' standpoint, he's a former private investigator, he reads the thread, and knows we are a good crowd. He knew the site was down that day. ('THAT SAY SOMETHING ABOUT OUR SHITTY SERVERS?!?! Some1 who doesn't even care about 7club or 8club has had to deal with the servers being down. ) But I digress; that's another issue. He thought that Rodger ran the site and collected dues for it. Rodger explained that laxmeet.com is just a redirect to this thread and isn't a site of it's own. He had the idea that we could pool money for future rent for a spot to meet at or something like that. Again he noted that we could scare off customers just by being there and that he had seen a certain "YouTube video from a guy by the name of Wing5" that he didn't like. I could only duck my head and stifle my laugh as best I could. To paraphrase, "He drove here on the back street without a muffler or catalytic converter and was screeching tires and speeding off." He figured it was me and before we got the whole group of people off on a tangent with the meeting, I briefly tried to explain that I wasn't screeching any tires, speeding off, or anything like that. I was babying the car and the cat & muffler were getting worked on, yadayada. In any case he didn't like it still, said the lack of cat/muffler was still illegal and that's fine. We didn't get to the notions that it was someone else's car or that it was after that particular meet and not a part of our group/meet as a whole.
He's more than likely reading this, but I have to say he wasn't that sincere on finding us another spot like he said and more focused on just getting us off his property. He wanted to pawn us off onto the Mervyn's lot, a.k.a. make it someone else's headache. Hey that's fine too, he's just doing his job. He gave Rodger and I each a business card to an officer that he wants us to talk with about the future location of the meet and took down our names and numbers. Whether it be a new location or arrangement, updates are to come for sure.

RX8 HA HA
that meet was whack...as i was speaking with rodger, I think we found a new spot, its about 6-7 mins away from the original lax meet location. Me and rodger will scout it out in the upcoming months. I think it would be a great idea, plus the lot is a heck of a lot larger with more stores..i'll keep you guys posted.

not to be mean mike but on the real, don't waste your time detailing it, just get a new paint job, you need it bad. other than that, the wing is coming along nicely...
