The only requirements for rice is for a vehicle to look like a friggin Christmas tree at night.

To me, rice is more like the guys with exhaust pipes the size of a basketball with 10 foot wings in the back and unpainted body work that does not fit the car right.

I guess too much bling bling counts too...

K - here goes....

You must have the heaviest...
The TIEN Flex with EDFC suspension was a necessity, not originally planned. I've added about 2 avg. people's worth of weight...the suspension soaks this weight up without a hitch, however. Many from the dragon who rode in the car can attest to how flat and nuetral the car stays while cornering hard.

and most dangerous RX8 in a lightning storm...
Thanks to physics and the idea of a Faraday Cage...I'm pretty safe.

How do you open the door?
Remote (Pops the door open about an 3/4 inch, and stays there)

Is your alarm tied into the PC?
No...would wear down the battery in a heartbeat

Do you even have an alarm (I hope so)?
Yes, and if I told you, I'd have to kill you...you know the drill.

Does your PC have a mouse and keyboard you are hiding?
Mouse is actually the trackpad (like a laptop) you see in the bottom of the pictures showing the entire dash, or just the 2 front screens. The keyboard is a small backlite keyboard kept under the passenger seat.

Do your audio controls on your steering wheel still work?
Yes - they control the alpine radio. (Keep in mind, however, you need to keep the stock radio. Mine is dissassembled and pushed back further into the dash, behind the screen)

Is it me or did you put either some sound deadening material on the floor of the car or is it for temperature (to keep the 8 as cool as you can since the rotary runs her hot)?
Dynamat extreme. EVERYWHERE! Trunk, Roof, Sides, Floor, etc.

I live in FL and it gets HOT here, wouldn't your PC die from the heat inside of the car or trunk? I've gone into my car during the summer and seen 110-120's wouldn't that mess up all your electronics in the car?
I chose a P4 for this reason. It will slow itself down when too hot, and not burn itslef out. It has built in thermal protection. (Take a look at TomsHardware.com for a video to see what happens when you remove the heatsink from a running CPU)

Finally, can I rent you and would you work for some great Cuban/Puerto Rican food?
I can be rented, or compensated for design or work. (I'm not sure food is quite enough though! )

I'm not into the lights that much (I grew up in Miami when that started and they had about a week lifespan before someone would steal them), but I have to say your 8 looks like a ULTRA NERDS DREAM car...lol.

The lights are ICELED....2 million color and per pixel control. (Any pixel can be any color)

By the way everyone...I think the glow in his engine bay is from a nuclear powered rotary engine he aint telling us about. You know the drill...he can tell us but he would have to kill us type of thing.

I would, but I'll let you see it!

Also - due to having the entire exhaust system redone, this car sounds like no other, I guarantee. It can be heard from miles (yes plural) away. The dragon attendies from this year I'm sure can make their own comments about how load this car is, and yet how friggin' awesome!

I disagree on the rice comment JeRKy 8 Owner. To see this car in person, I'm sure would completely change your mind. Lights do not constitute rice. Neither does the noise of a car. Rice is determined by the quality.

The design of this car is top notch. Everything is integrated. When you see the car, you don't see what's been done...this car does not stand out. I've had MANY RX-8 owners glance by my car saying "oh that's nice, what did you do?" Non-8 owners ask me where they can buy one...not where can I get that stuff done.

The difference is, I designed and made this car to keep the regular look of the 8, not to stand out. You turn off the lights, no one knows.

You're allowed your opinion...but I think if you saw the car in person, you may change your mind.

^^^ But I'd have to kill you!

In all seriousness...the cost is personal for me. I don't tell anyone. I'm sure you can use your imagination and you'd be pretty close.

I may be the only one asking this but how do you open the doors from the outside without any handles?

Or you may be the only one not reading through the posts...
I answered this...Via remote. (The door will pop open 3/4 inch and stay there)

640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 Whatever is necessary. Natively, however, I try to stay at 640x480.

I must say, you have done a lot of work, and it loks very nice. Too bad you had to add the weight of basically two people. I am trying to loose weight in my car.

But it looks good, and looks like it was done top shelf. So I applaud you, even if it is not really my style.

You did an excellent job. I remember the pics from when you first started the project and that was already impressive. What I like most about your car is the clear engine covers and for your CPU. Awesome.

Is that it for the car? Or are you still going to add more goodies? Is the entire car debadged?

I love the fact that you've kept it virtually stock on the exterior. Too many people are quick to start slapping body kits on this car and all kinds of exterior mods. I think the clean stock look can be more appealing than some of the kits I've seen. The shaved doors are awesome. Excellent job.

handles look cool, but by far my favorite part has to be the dash, that's probably the best looking attempt I've seen so far, tell whoever did all the work for you nice job

I think this is pretty much it for the car. I know it is financially at least.

And yes, the entire car is debadged (if you mean the nose and trunk) The Mazda symbols are still in the wheel centers and the steering wheel. There's also the additional embroidery on the seat covers and blankets. And the RX-8 brake light mod. Also the plexiglass work has symbols and writing. But again, if you meant trunk and nose...then yes, it's debadged.
