I went to the Baltimore Auto Show today. Unfortunately they didn't have an RX-8 on hand. They did have a continually running video of the RX-8 running on a flat screen video screen. It was footage of Laguna Seca and the PCH run. Some was showing RX-8s running on the highway or the Laguna circuit, some from inside a car. I used my digital camera to record about 5 1/2 minutes of it, ending with a view of the inside of a red with all doors open. Anyway - if someone wants to post it somewhere that all can link to it, I'd be happy to email it to someone.

Thanks for hosting that mpeg! It looks just as good as it does on my own PC. Hope others take a look. I think you get a good idea of the handling as many of those turns on the autocross and the Laguna raceway look to be taken hard.

 

They were certainly going at a decent pace and the suspension looked so well sorted. The driver was pretty smooth but the car wasn't throwing any curves ***** at him either. It looked like he had a little understeer going into the corkscrew but that should be expected when the earth is dropping out from under you.:D
