so i was driving looked at some kids fighting and next thing you know i blew a stop sign and tboned a minivan ... luckily the guy and kids in the van were perfectly ok and i walked away too it was pretty horrific

Is your car totaled or is it fixable? It looks totaled to me.

 

first let me say i'm sure how glad we are that everyone is ok is no where near as glad as YOU are that everyone is ok.
second, 100 percent at fault accident is gonna bite the big one for a couple of year with your insurance.
At the end of the day it could have been worse. You didnt hurt anyone and it wasnt your 8.

Hope you get things sorted out with your carrier and the people in the van quickly

 

yeah i already know my insurance is gonna spike and i too hope the ppl in the van get what they want quickly so this is put behind me and yes it coulda been a lot worse everyone is ok thats the most important part the car is replaceable ppl arent so all are well and thats the most important thing will take it from here and see what happens

i was doing 35 tops it happened in a residential area that i drive thru every single day stopped at one stop sign knew the next one was right ahead but took my eye off the road and didnt realize how close it was

yup everyones ok thats the most important thing the car is replaceable and it wasnt the 8 thank god

its totalled plus i only had liability on it but the good news is i put it up for sale as is and ive had offers of up to 2g right now so ima let it go asap and put the money into sth else

^well that's not something you really see every day while driving, so i can def see that kids fighting in a neighborhood is a legit reason to be distracted. it's not like he said 'i took my eyes off the road to watch the wind blow.' i'd look over at kids fighting...

@ 2tone: the guy was pretty ok he just wanted to be sure his kids werent visibly hurt they didnt even wanna go to the hospital but i insisted they go get checked so they went they werent mad or anything and yea your kinda right especially the area i live in (youve been here) hardly see sth like that lol so it caught my attention but there are no excuses for lack of attention

this is definitely a lesson and yes everyone makes mistakes thats what they call it accidents i definitely learned a lesson here and its a good thing noone got hurt in the process thats what matters most
