Make sure you get yourself checked out thoroughly (even if you're not in much pain now) Neck and back injuries can sometimes take a while to surface.

dang, sorry to hear about the accident and good to hear you're ok.
if the insurance co totals it, i suggest just taking the pay off and getting a new 8. that is unless of course u think u can make a profit by parting out the car and don't mind the hassle.

Wow. Glad you're okay. Ditto the others and make sure you go to the doctor to make sure you're okay. If you don't have medical insurance for some reason his insurance company should pick up the tab. Take out your frustrations on his insurance company. They should be your little bitch and beat them for all their worth. If they even bat an eyelash threaten to get a lawyer. Their jackass client was intoxicated and dead in the wrong. You should get a shiney fully repaired 8 handed to you on a silver platter for that one.

Make sure to get the neck and legs checked out, if you already haven't. That's the kind of injuries that can take forever to show up.

Harry, let me know if you need any legal info, i have a couple friends in our legal office that are well versed in HI law. Really hope that you can rebuild, but mostly glad that you seem to be ok.
I agree with everyone about getting checked out. Out of ALL the minor MVA's I've responded to on base the last 3 years, 90% of the ones that ended up with back/neck troubles thought they were fine for the first couple days to week or more.

I just got back from the police station with a copy of the report. The police told me that night the guy did have insurance, but i guess they were just saying that so i wouldnt kill him...
No License, No Insurance, DUI. WHY THE F WAS HE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY DRIVING LIKE THAT. F*CK!!!
Here's some quotes from the police report...

Later on in the report it gives the witnesses statement, who was the police officer sitting to my left at the light at the time of the accident, who saw everything and coroborated (f u spell check) my story of getting rear ended and launched 30ft into the intersection.
this is just retarded as hell. Over $50k and the last 3 years of my life down the f'ing tubes because some sh*t head decided to drive faster than all hell after getting drunk as sh*t. Can't even sue the guy... listed on the police report that he works warehouse at coca-cola. im sure he'll have my money by the year 20Never.
