Just got my RX8!
Well I've been waiting a long time to become a member of these forums, been wanting this car for well over a year but there were just so many obstacles in my way. With a little luck and a lot of hard work I finally managed to save up enough money to purchase this practically new '04 RX8 for $13,500 cash. Only has 26k miles on it! Rides like a dream.
The seller included some aftermarket shocks too, said I should get the car lowered a tad to have it handle better. I don't know a whole lot about cars to be honest, but I'm sure spending more time on these forums I'll learn a bit.
I like the rims on it now but I was thinking about having them powder coated black with silver trim, then getting the windows tinted darker. The guys at my work were saying they don't think I should have the rims replaced since the ones on it right now are really good.. but I dunno, I really want black.
I love this car! Even though it absolutely DEVOURS gasoline. And it's friggin' hard to keep clean! I'm out there buffing it every other day or so lol. But it's all good.. it's worth all the compliments I get, haha.
edit: not sure what was wrong with those links but i've attached the pictures now. hope its working.

Congrats man! i was in the same boat as you. a little luck, about 13k later, i had a 22k mi 2004 practically new one like you found. just be careful and dont be "buffing " your car every other day or so. youll run your clear coat down before you could rally enjoy the car. just find a really good wax and detail spray cuz the wax will keep it clean a bit longer if its just dust gettin to ya , and the detail spray can help with those quick wipe downs.

I stay up near the UMSL campus, going to school up here. It's funny I actually picked this car up from an SLU student who needed some quick money for fall tuition. Count me in for any meets and such, my weekday schedule is pretty much shot with full-time work + fulltime school but the weekends are wide open, which I'm sure is when the meets go down~
