Just got her today!
2006 RX8 in velocity red. Only 1800 miles on it. But that's technically "used," so I got it for about 8k off retail. Not bad at all. I traded up from a 98 Cadillac Seville SLS. It's a completely different beast. It doesn't have the neck-snapping torque the caddy is, but it's quick as hell. I love it.
It's an automatic, and I know that's looked down upon in a lot of circles. I am using it as a daily driver in heavy traffic and lots of late night driving, and I just find standard to be a hassle sometimes. I'm not gonna race it, just wanted something fun to drive and make the commute from college to home every few weekends in.
It's stock right now. I'll have the windows tinted within the next few weeks. Then I'm looking to the stereo... after that will be exhaust/intake/rims in some random order. Maybe a few years down the line I'll take a look at forced induction, but not now.
It's a beautiful car--sex on wheels. What a pleasure to drive. I'm really glad to have it and very thankful for it. I'm also glad to be a part of a community that can help me learn about my new beast. Look forward to absorbing your knowledge.
And the pics ( dealer pics, gotta get some decent ones tomorrow)...

I won't beat you up about the autotragic. Nice car though, andI know you'll love it. If you really want to see why they call it a sports car, wait till you need new tires, then tear it up at a track.

Hahah yeah it's a mitsubishi dealer tag. They didn't put it on too well so it's starting to peel off. It should be easy to get it off.
Now I need to look at all of your VR RX8s and decide what color rims go best with it .

Personal pictures:
I'm getting more used to driving it. It's so quick... especially in those upper power band ranges... in the higher RPMs it just... zooms :P.
