I thought I would share pics of my new family member
Picked the car up on Tuesday. Its a 1994 black R2 FD. These pics arent the best but I plan on taking some really good pics of my 7 & 8 when I have time to clean and Rejex both of them. I already put these up on the 7 site but figured that I like to see pics of FDs and yall might enjoy them too.

Now that you have both a 7 and an 8, I was wondering how do they compare when you drive them back to back with things like power, sound, handling, etc. Either way you got a couple of nice rides, congrats!

Thanks for all the compliments.
Juikster: If the 8 can't get woman interested, I doubt this car will do much in the picking women up department. I actually think Im the problem not cars lol.
KingCobra: I think I could write a book about the differences between these two cars and it would only come from 3 or so hours of driving the 7. The power this thing has over the 8 is shocking. To be honest I am kind of scared to push it too hard until I get a nice open area in which to play around. The power difference also makes me worry when testing the handling. In the 8 Im thinking "I've got DSC (if I screw up whle pushing the car, very poor thinking I know)" and in the FD Im thinking "you **** this turn up by giving it gas too soon (or some other reason) and your going into the cedar trees and ruining this wonderful car". Im sure this will go away somewhat as I learn the car. IMO these two cars dont even come close to feeling the same when entering and going through a turn. I have had my 8 since Aug. '04 and have had the DSC or traction control come 3 or less times when I wasn't trying. I'd love to say I can drive well but I know I can't. I will say being put into your seat by the turbos in a good feeling (and Im just stock).
Maybe when I get more drive time under my beat, I will write up the differences between the two but I don't know if people would want to read a novices' opinion.
terrypk1: I attribute my ability to have these two cars to the fact that I have no girlfriend or wife and no children and quit saving for a dream that's now impossible to have.

Mighty fine ride! I'm jealous. I may be wrong but I don't believe that exhaust is stock. Would you care to share what one would pay for a beauty like you acquired? I saw one the same color last week at a Mazda dealer. It was owned by the head mechanic and it had RX8 18" wheels with Potenzas.

I say stock but that is not totally true. It has a dp, cat back and adjustable shocks. For a FD thats pretty damn stock compared to most. I don't like that big exhaust either but it actually performs a purpose and isnt loud. I don't plan on doing much to the car, I'd like to get about 310-325 rwhp and thats good for me.
Mugatu- I know the camera sucks, I think it was $20 6 years ago lol. Im going to borrow a better one and go crazy taking pictures when I have the time.
4 years to supercharge- You are coorect, most 7s are not stock. Most at least have reliability mods done to them. Things like dp, radiator, IC, boost & water temp & AF gauge and maybe a boost controller.
As for price, I think I paid a little too much but the car is just in great condition (IMO) and hasn't been beat on. Also the seller lives about 15 minutes from me.I paid $12,800 for the car. From the research I've done and my limitied knowledge it seems a fair price but doesn't qualify as a good or great deal.
Once again thanks for the compliments!

Damn, I was hoping that you were gonna say they felt pretty similar since the stock H.P. numbers weren't too far apart (255) for the 7 and (238) for the 8, but I see that was wishful thinking. I guess the 7's lighter weight and higher torque #'s make all the difference. Oh well, guess I'll keep saving up for some turbos.
