I need an opinion on kits...

Hey guys...
I'm in the market for a kit. A few that I am looking at are...
The Raven, Razor, and Buddy Club.
I need some opinions on fit and if the prices are worth it and stuff.
If anyone has any suggestions or pics of fit and all please post them.
Thanks.

that was a suggestion and it was the right one... all of those(yes even the buddy club, may even be a replica when considering the others stated) are knock off replicas and will fit like sh*t
Ifyour looking for the authentics then kudos,
Raven Ithink is the RMagic and will cost north of $2K
the others will also if they are genuine,,,
If your finding bodykits for $400 or less for the whole kit, run...

still use caution they are still replicas youll be paying big bucks for proper fitment or bigger bucks for a bodyshop to fit correctly, happy hunting
look at Japanparts.com for authentic prices at least for comparison, and expect to wait a couple months for shipping and customs...

in my own opinion get a mazdaspeed kit, but if you looking for something less pricey i have a veilside replica ( front and rear bumpers + sideskirts) i could let it go for $500 pm 'me

The mazdaspeed comes painted with perfect fitment which why is costs so much. Also you can get the r-magic lip kit painted from japanparts.com and the fitment and paint is supposed to be spot on.

Other great kits to consider:

autoexec
knight sports

To be honest, it's going to be really hard finding a kit under $1400. With paint and labor, it's going to cost more than $2000. I have the full mazdaspeed bodykit. The reason why I like the mazdaspeed bodykit is because it covered by insurance in case you get into a mishap. Lip kits are also good option. I really like the R-magic lip.

go real or don't bother, it can't be stated enough. My authentic mazdaspeed needed absolutely no adjustment whatsoever, none, nada, zippo, you should never have to bend over backwards to make a kit fit, ever.

well then it will probably look like **** because there are only a handful of kits out there that actually make this car look better than stock.

I've wanted an RX-8 since they first came out in 2004 (had to wait 3 years and finish college ). I've turned my head every time I've seen one since and i've still yet to see a Mazdaspeed kit casually driving around on the streets. There is a huge difference between "everybody has one" and everybody who posts pictures of their car on the internet has one.

Go with what looks best not whats the most unique or hardest to come by.

mazdaspeed
autoexe
autobahn
tsunami

In that order

If you like "rice" like I do, Veilside and Bomex is pretty good and also the RMagic, but just like everyone said..watch out for knock offs. Try photoshop-ing the kit onto your car, maybe that might help a bit.

no need to PS there is every kit under the sun in Wolverine's SuperAutobacs and other JDM thread. like canary said you gotta pay to play... the Japanese kits that are amazing fit and styling are
AutoExe(any of the three will garner major street cred)
RMagic(2 kits 1 wild and 1 mild)
FEED(rare)
Burnout(Shine makes a good replica)
Vertex(big bucks but big show factor)
Knight Sport
Tsunami(not JDM but great looking)
Panspeed(also has wide fender kit 10mm)
Mint Blue(many knock off out there beware, actual kit is extremely rare)
Ings+1
And of course the most respected Rotary tuner out there RE Amemiya(3 kits and you will deffinately pay to play with anyone of them)

you really, really have to pay to play trust me .......... I was going to go with the FEED front and side skirts, until I realized we were talking almost 3 grand just to get them here, plus another 1 - 2k to get it painted installed (depending on the body shop quality and fitment). I went with a "less expensive" body kit in the Tsunami kit (still about a grand to get it here), and it will still cost about another grand to install/paint.

If Money was no option I would've went with the Feed Front and side skirts, but unfortunately for me it was.

The next option that I really liked, but I didn't think would fit well with my car (color wise ... I have a lightning Yellow) was the Vertex Lang kit, if you have a dark color this one definitely looks good.

Just stay away from Tsunami, because I want to be one of the only few around with it lol, The rarer my car is, the better, thats just how I feel however haha.

Insurance will cover most anything you put on your car as long as you contact them and advise them of the change. they may just have you come in for pictures or charge you a bit more for a rider on your insurance.

Man I was about to say the same thing. EVERYONE always says "I like the MS kit but everyone has it..." But really, out of all the RX8's on the road, how many of them are forum users, and how many of them actually mod it? Not alot...I am the only rx8 in charlotte that i have EVER seen that has the MS bodykit...Just because alot of people on the forums has it, doesn't mean EVERYONE has it...
