For one of the nastiest looking cabin filters
Was searching the forum and found out how to take it out and wow this thing is filthy. Looks like its been in there since the car was manufactured. Put in a replacement order so I won't have to breathe all this for too long. Warning: what you are about to see is nasty

 

that's pretty gross but we've seen dead rodents in those air filters before.

did you get the upgraded aldehyde filter?

It seems like it. I hope this shows people should check these things at least once a year.

I think there was a bird nest in mine, I found a few feathers I decided to go with just the stock one. The aldehyde one is mighty expensive in my book

Best one I saw was REDRX3RX8's, he is from west Texas and his was FULL of sand, it looked like someone just dumped sand in it. His car only has 22k on it.

 

o man im afraid of what i'll find in mine, car just clocked 95k and i totally forgot about this

 

I'm about to round off 94k so I'm guessing this is worst case senerio haha

 

Mine needs to be replaced so long ago lol. Mine has like twigs and **** i think its a birds nest. Do you notice a difference in smell when you changed it ??

 

I replaced mine at about 35k miles. They looked relevantly clean. I vacuumed them out and put them on the side for reuse.

 

Oh crap 70k and I live in the desert.

Yeah, that wins Everyone should at least take theirs out and vacuum it every few months.

Seriously. I swear my vents feel like they throw out more air...also more dust since I've loosened up all the dust that was embeded in the filter
