HKS CT230R Time Attack Evo
HKS CT230R Time Attack Evo
Had a chance to visit hks headquarters this weekend and ran into this monster. Those of you that are aware of "time attack" racing will definetly recognize this car. Some info here:
HKS and Taniguchi have teamed up since 2001, when Taniguchi piloted the HKS D1 Silvia, and won the D1 Grand Prix Series Championship. Taniguchi continued to pilot HKS D1 machines through 2005, but the HKS and Taniguchi tandem did not stop with drifting. Taniguchi’s grip driving skills also placed him behind the wheel of the HKS TRB-02 and CT230R Time Attack Mitsubishi Evolutions. Taniguchi’s driving skills and HKS’ technical prowess combined for an unmatched force in Time Attack. Most recently, Taniguchi raced the HKS CT230R into the Time Attack record books running a 53’589, which made it the first car ever to run in the 53 second range at Tsukuba Circuit, Japan.
Anyway, I just happened to have my camera with me at the time *ahem* and decided to take a couple snaps. Enjoy.
BTW, the car will be competing later next week at the super street time attack event. I truely do feel sorry for the American tuners it will go up against. haha

Hey wait a minute, thats not a time attack car! thats a garage queen!!

Wow. Those are some phat wheels on that car. How wide do you reckon those are?
so does that TA car make you want to trade the 8 in?

I think I still like their TRB-02 Evo better (R.I.P.).

Anyhow, AMS is building a car that may someday rival the best in Japan, but that's still at least a year away. Also, the Cyber Evo is in the US, not sure if they're in the Event, but it could certainly give the HKS Evo a run.

That Evo is sex.. That kind of power.. mMmMm. I love the 8 we have, but I cant argue with anyone wanting one of those.. I do hate the wing, even though I know they actualy use it, unlike most cars.. Great photos man.
