GreddyFest 2010
GreddyFEST 2010 went down this past Sunday at Greddy's newest facility in Irvine, CA and here are a few of the pics I took.
10 car clubs were invited to have reserved parking and the 8club was honored to accept Greddy's invite to show our cars alongside other clubs such as the Supras, GT-R's, Evo's, 350 / 370z's and many more.
Sitting in the Pre-Stage Lot before the Show opened
sorry for the crazy sun glare but it's D.K. !!!! This guy needs new wheels, asap

Newcastle's ride sporting a new CF trunk
Rival Drift also sporting a killer looking trunk and the infamous Aqua Tail Light Mod
Gotta love MS kits:
xl20____'s car sporting some fresh new wheels and some big meaty tires
the Reverend with his Flush Forgestar wheels / tire combo
AngeloSE3P:
at around 10:00 they opened up the street to the general public and things got busy fairly quickly

LOTS of HKS goodness in this engine bay
The Scion DJ car. If you guys can focus for JUST ONE second, you'll notice that there's actually a car in this picture and that it transforms into a full DJ booth. The sides of the car swivel down to reveal speakers and the back end is a platform with mixing tables, etc
I give you one of the World's FASTEST quarter mile GT-R's.
This beast was built by www.sp-power.com here in SoCal and runs the 1/4 in 9.8 seconds. SP had a 2nd GT-R at the show that runs the 1/4 in 9.6.
Another SP car

Great looking GT-R but this guy hasn't quite gotten used to driving a lowered car.
Anyone have any idea WTF that roof vent is for? we all took guesses as to it's possible function and the best I could come up with was that it was in case he found himself in a war zone, he could pop the hatch open and hurl grenades at the Taliban.
Note to self: don't go super wide body without getting new wheels. It's not a good look
The local Evo club came out in full force
the only NSX of the day:
last but not least, my new GF.
I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures, I really wish I would have taken more pics as there were a LOT more cars there. Maybe next year I'll stop forgetting that I had a camera in my back pocket.
Also, I wanted to give a HUGE Thank You to Greddy NA for the gracious invite to the show and for all the effort that went into planning this event. It was fun to see a bunch of other car clubs there and to get a chance to mingle with some of the folks at Greddy.
Their new facility is amazing and it looks like they've got some huge plans for it in the future such as hosting monthly car meets, opening up their new dyno to the public, etc.
The Management Team also was kind enough to schedule a time to meet with each car club individually to discuss our vehicles, what they could do to improve on their current offerings, what mods WE wanted to see them develop, and what plans they had for our cars in the future.
I'm looking forward to continued support from Greddy and to next year's GreddyFEST.

so my phone was mostly used for the scavenger hunt (which we failed miserably at) but here are a few semi usable pics
was sure to get these for Atilla
GRreddy fixie
and this abomination
fav car at the show was an NSX that was hidden off to the side...but I did not have the camera then and by about noon I was so hopped up on energy drinks that I did not want to walk around

I was glad to see some good 8's out there representing the 8club but then there were those who signed up, confirmed their reservation, and then flaked out on us without ANY prior notice. Unfortunately that made us look REALLY bad to the Greddy meet organizers and it's a shame some of them couldn't even give us the courtesy of a text, call, PM, or post.
