Greddy turbo drag racing - 13.1 sec

I made it out to the dragstrip last night. I did 5 runs with only 2 of them being good launches.
13.1 at 107.6mph 60ft 1.90sec 1/8th 8.51 at 84.8mph
13.3 at 106.7mph 60ft 1.96sec 1/8th 8.62 at 84.3mph
I was trying to line up with an EVO MR that was there, he was getting 13.2's.

The other 3 runs were bad launches, 0-60ft's were in the 2.1-2.2 secs. Which resulted in a 13.5-13.6 time.

Track Video here here. (right-click and select Save-As). Thanks to "cas2themoe " for hosting it.

Lower quality video here.

I've uploaded my timeslip to dragtimes.com My previous times are also up for comparison.

You definitely have to pay attention. C5 corvettes run 13.3's stock.
The launch is still tricky. I was unable to use high boost in 1st. Then boost drops off at high rpm's.... so I'm not in the 10psi range much.

Convertible camaro. It sounded nice. Not sure what he had. The other 2 races I got on video were against trucks. (1 was fast).

I haven't gone to a dyno with the turboXS exhaust and midpipe on. Previous was 265whp/225tq in 4th gear.
New upgrades include some 275/40/17's drag radials for the rear tires. Hooked up nicely. I also took out the psg/rear seats and amp (90lbs less than before.)

I bet you'll be in the 12s once you master the launch. Great times though!

VERY nice. Was one of those trucks a Ford Lightening? I've heard those trucks can really put down some SICK times. And they are easily made to look like and average F150 (250 or something 50 ... don't know Fords).

Keep up the nice work. Can't wait to see the vid.

Video can be found here on video.google.com; I'll switch to the higher quality link once it's up.

4th gear. When it was stock, I had to shift into 4th right before the line. Now, I shift into 4th much sooner.

According to the RPM tach, 8900-9000rpms. I've accidently taken it to 9200 a few times without the rev limiter kicking in.

Abel's 6.8 at 190mph is the quickest "RX-8". There are several others with engine swaps that are also quicker. But as far as turbo Renesis 8's.... 13.1 is the quickest that I know of.
I'm sure that'll change once PTP gets they're kit out. I wonder what SFR's kits are running?
